I have been told to watch the wire on hbo. Is it currently on their hbo on demand? I am not talking about HBO GO. Otherwise it's DVD for me

There are torrents of it. :awe:

I watched through the whole series a month or two ago. I liked it a lot.

The entire series is on HBO Go. I don't understand what the difference between HBO On Demand and HBO Go is. I thought HBO Go was their on-demand service.

Money be green! First episode is good. Very raw. Tough ass burn notice agent is on it. Mcnulty is British?

I just bought it on iTunes, now I can watch it any time I want. I've probably watched all 5 seasons 6 or 7 times.

Wait so you like the drug dealer characters more than the detectives? What is this show about? I feel like this is law and order on steroids.

I find this statement to be full of self-evidence.

breaking bad is like twilight for "cool" people.

the wire was just plain awesome. it was the equivalent to reading a great novel. that was a show where you started paying attention and before you realize it an hour has gone by and you forgot youre just sitting on your couch...

breaking bad was just fun entertainment. never seemed very serious, the grittest parts still had a sense of humor to them.

well, I think Breaking Bad is very good to excellent--I just feel that it "lost its way" some time during the 3rd season. I think it is fantastic, but for my money isn't as good as Mad Men, and just isn't in the same class as The Wire.

I like Breaking Bad, I'd say very good to excellent is accurate, but I agree with wired's criticism too. It's better than 99% of the stuff out there, but it's overrated. It feels like a TV show while something like The Wire and some other shows feel cinematic. It's just not on the same level, which is fine; not many shows are.

yup and the wire wasnt even shot in hd- and the sound isnt anything special. the amazing part is the story itself sucks you in, and the acting is good enough to be believeable. people say its long and drags on, but its just like a book. if youre following the whole story, time starts flying by.
