Darn Newegg.com and their preferred account stuff.
Just bought a eVGA 7900GTX for $504 with next day shipping to get over the magical spend $500 and get 6months no interest financing option (got a $25 discount since it was my first Newegg preferred purchase..FTW?!).
I just couldn't help myself. I wanted a 512MB card this time around and I like the stock cooling very much on the 7900GTX. Seems the PCB is a bit shorter than the X1900 series and the benchmarks show that pretty much all games are playable at 1600x1200 with 8xAA and 16xAF, which is where I like to game because my monitor can still sustain 100Hz refresh rate there, and it is a 4:3 resolution. Seems this will run quite cool as well and I'm a big fan of big fans. Don't know why I'm writting all this except to try and justify the purchase to a bunch of strangers
