With all due respect, and maybe I'm just more talented than I want to admit, but I watched both videos and kinda felt like I could do that stuff in my sleep....

I liked the style and funk though.

I'm sure bass playing now is considerably different than bass playing back then. (i wasn't OMFGWTFBBQ either)

Oh for sure.. A lot of is influence.. They didn't have youtube, internet, etc. to expose themselves to many different styles.. which is why I gave cred to the style and funk.

wow.. on that myung vid.. watch from 7:15 on.. about a minute into that part they switch to the climax of Dance of Eternity at 7:50. my fingers hurt watching that. It's fast, accurate, and the timing is wack. so easy to fuck up. Also, most bassists who use finger style use 2 fingers.. if you watch, he uses 3 and it's crazy fluid. Huge difference because 2 fingers is an easy 1-2-1-2 alternating pattern.. tossing three fingers into the mix has your fingers rolling in an odd count
