how is it a "scam", are the speakers stolen or just complete shiat quality? some guys in a white van tried selling me speakers in the parking lot of a home depot once. they even went as far as blocking on of the entrances and stopping everyone that came in and asked if they wanted speakers. they disapeared soon after that.

I have dealt with these morons before can't remember the names of the speakers though. They were like hey we got the left over speakers we will sell at cost like 400 bucks cash, then the pull out a stereo mag to show me an ad in the back for them priced at 1500. They tried to compare the to Paradigms studio 8's. I looked at them the looked good but were junk. 2- 8" drivers and a 2" paper tweeter stand about 4' tall.
They like to hit my town up in the fall at the begining of the semester when the students get thier loan checks, poor kids think thier getting a deal. By the end of the semester you see a pair or 2 in the local pawn shops and several pair on the curb for the trash man because they blow. My old roommate and I took one apart and, man these things are crap. The drivers have magnets that look like the belong in headphones and the crossover was a total of 2 capacitors.

Ok, some guys in a white pickup truck with a topper tried selling me some steaks on friday.
I looked in back, he had about 3 boxes of different steak cuts as well as some chicken and sea food.
The best part was, the truck didn't have refridgeration, instead they had 4 or 5 big chunks of dry ice back there.
The 3 "salesmen" were all wearin shorts and t-shirts and they stunk like an indian leg wrestlers jock strap.
