The 'What are you returning?' Thread

Now that Christmas is almost over, what did you get that you plan on taking back or exchanging?

For me, I am exchanging a hooded sweatshirt (soon to be father-in-law got me a L thinking it was an XL), a White Sox hat (too big), and a piano keyboard (exchanging it for one with USB capabilities).

You?

(Note: Searched "returning" and did not find any threads. If there is one I missed mods, feel free to lock/delete)

I'm exchanging a school flag I got to hang up in my apartment for a nicer one, and probably some blue dress pants for maybe some grey ones.

probably nothing.

my parents did get me a $100 gift card for Lord and Taylor, though. I might check with one of my female friends to see if they'd be interest in either buying it off of me or trading a gift card to a different store for it... lately I've been shopping almost exclusively at the Gap (work clothes) and Urban Outfitters (play clothes)

Not going out today. The police scanner is going crazy with wrecks. Our roads were still a little slick yesterday, and a lot of the rural roads were really bad. My daughter's boyfriend wrecked his Santa Fe yesterday and totaled it, was going from his dad's to his mom's and hit a patch of ice, lost it and hit a light pole and a cement culvert. I'm just glad the kid is a careful driver and wasn't going fast, so he's ok. It could have been much worse. And if that wasn't bad enough, we got about a quarter inch of snow/sleet last night on top of what we had. From what I am hearing on the scanner, the roads must be treacherous here this morning.

Kinect. Got it for Christmas but didn't open it. After watching my nieces and nephew play theirs -- big time pass.

I might return my Rock Band 3 pro drum set. The back, start, and guide buttons don't work correctly unless pressed in far. Part that sucks is that Gamestop hasn't gotten a lot of them.

Have to take a bunch of Staples stuff back. My wife purchased some ink on Friday, and in a hurry, grabbed the bag and left when they handed it to her. 15 minutes after they closed, she was getting the ink out and discovered that she had the wrong bag. Instead of ink, we had a $100 AmEx gift card, a sound card, and some ipod docking station. Called them up - what happened is the guy ahead of her had to run out to his car and get more money. They were nice enough to deliver the ink cartridges to where my kids were working - they remarkably answered the phone while their coats were on & they were heading out the door.

Craftsman wrench setting, already have most of them and instead getting credit for a table saw I want instead.

Nothing. Got everything I wanted/needed. I'm of that old school where I think its's a bit douchey to return something someone got for you. Only if it's defective or doesn't fit. Otherwise it gets confined to the closet. 😀

I'm not returning anything.

AFAIK, the only thing in my immediate family that was being returned was a CD my mom bought my little brother only because my older brother got him the same CD for Christmas.

I'd like to exchange my Frys gift card for a newegg one, but other than that nothing is being returned
