I dunno, with all the movie remakes happening
I'd love to see a remake of The Warriors

but with a mix of slightly known to unknown actors.

typically higher paid actors who are larger than life dont seem to fit well in roles such as this. grimey roles where people are just flat out kicking ass

Just my thoughts. anyone else think the same or similar?

Why? the original was great! I live in NYC and love seeing old NYC the way it used to be. Dirty and shitty subways. The movie is a classic!

The original is great yes, but id like to see what kind of spin they could do with it. they did a fine job of re-creating the longest yard. so why not the warriors?
ick wikipedia says it could take place in LA... if they do that... i may not care for it that much

if not remake.. do a sequel

LA isnt that bad. it's got plenty of gang violence to make for an interesting warriors movie.

but if it's gonna be true to the area, it's gonna be a black or mexican gang. there's little to no white or multi-ethnic gangs in LA :p

I just really like the atmosphere New York provided, but I guess we will have to see what else they do to change things and see if it works.

By the way, there is no "THE" in the title...

You sure about that champ?

Thanks for this. I hate when people post shit not pertaining to the topic at hand. Too many freaking school teacher responses.

Anyway, THE Warriors remake based in LA is a fail. How many more LA gang movies do we really need? Is there not enough already? I did like the remix they did to the movie on DVD a few years ago. That, IMO, is remake enough.

Will these gangs be multi-racial or the 'sharks vs. jets' variety?

I hate multi-racial gangs. Hollywood makes these 'international gangs" more representative than a fvcking U.N. Assembly.

True, and I bet it'll be a PG-13 rating so HW can milk more money. I still can't forgive a PG-13 Die Hard movie.
