Those tank thingies with alien heads were pretty cool. They would also roast your ass in a new york second.

I still like the book better than any of the movie adaptations thus far. It reads like a book written a few years ago, WAY ahead of it's time.

Can you imagine how I felt, when I read it in 1968?

How in the hell do people come up with middle aged, when the gauge is definitely at 3/4? LOL I'm lovin it! I guess the sex is better...you know, with all the modern advancements. We don't have to work as hard at being soft. :p

I've never read the book. I vaguely remember the original film. The TC/SS remake was so-so; good sound and decent "unveiling" sequence.

I really enjoy the radio broadcast done by Orson Welles. I have them on cassette tape. I should probably purchase them on CD.

Nothing to do really with WoTW, but if you like older Sci Fi that was before it's time, try Earth Abides, by George R. Stewart. It's an "end of times" novel about a guy that survives a world wide epidemic that leaves very few humans on the planet. Very good read, I was pleasantly surprised. You'll be able to tell it's from a time past, but's very good.

Thought I'd share :)
