The Walking Dead

Not sure how I missed this game until now, but I just started playing it the other day and my goodness is it an awesomely entertaining game! I'm not normally one for a non action oriented game (I prefer FPS games) but it has me hooked! I think buying all 5 episodes for ~$15 was the single best gaming purchase this year for me!

Anyway, just wanted to share my joy with the game 🙂

EDIT: I think I am seeing about 2 hours of gameplay per episode, so should see 10 or so hours when it's all said and done.

Loved season one, one of my favourite games. Having said that, I thought the first 400 days expansion pack wasn't worth it.

I am guessing that the 400 days will tie in to season 2, so in that regard it may be worth it. Am I alone in hoping that Telltale gets their shit fixed on their engine? There's no reason for it to studder and slow down as much as it does.

Finished season 1, skipped 400 days, played s2 ep1 and it is the first time I can say I was let down. The story is still ok but holy hell it was short. It was noticeably shorter than the first 5 in regards to story, content, and actual time. Very disappointed...

Well its only part one so of course the story hasn't panned out yet

Sorry, either I was not clear or you misunderstood me. Obviously the story has yet to pan out, but comparatively speaking with regards to the actual story being told per episode, S2 EP1 was still severely lacking. As a laymen explanation to really highlight my statement, in each previous episode the story (per episode) probably could have been told in a few pages, perhaps 8 - 10 full paragraphs. In S2 EP1 the story could of probably been comparatively told in 2 to 3 paragraphs.

It was simply lacking almost all around.

If you like the walking dead games you should finish them and then play "the wolf within" it's made by the same people and I think it's even better than the walking dead games.

I definitely want to play it but just like I did before, I'm waiting until all the episodes come out to play them.

They're not releasing them as fast as the walking dead games sadly 🙁 I think the new episode is coming in march, and I'm excited to play it. And yes I meant the wolf among us

You get a good amount of play time from those episodes. It's worth buying for sure

for certain. this is one game that is well put together and worth paying for. it one that i played a 2nd and 3rd time and make different choices. fun.
