You would hope that they don't resolve it the same way at least. I mean, they've put all of this time and energy in creating this atmosphere of moral uncertainty, it would be nice to work that into Negan's story line rather than just have another epic battle where he gets killed. I don't know how he's dealt with in the comics but I hope it's a little more imaginative than that.Sad part is we've got two to three seasons before Negan is successfully dealt with. I don't think I can stand a stagnant storyline for that long. The Governor about did me in waiting for him to bite it (never saw a character escape death so many times).
I believe Eugene said 23 miles last night. I'm pretty sure he was referring to the distance between the two camps.
Alexandria is a pretty major city in VA and there would be a considerable number of ways to get from there to most places within 25 miles. They were trying to go north, so I assume Hilltop is somewhere between Reston and Leesburg.

I hated the Governor seasons. Looks like I'll hate the next season then.
Also not understanding this whole "Negan is so badass" thing. Waiting for someone to frag him or put a cap in his ass, sooner the better.
P.S. Saw someone mention on some other site that Enid told Lauren Cohan to eat, then gave her a jar of pickles, and then she got sick. Then she told one-eye to not go. Circumstantial or she up to something... Can't think up names right now, other half of screen is in French, brain is fried.

I liked the episode except for (1) how did they know where they were going and (2) hoe did Rick not see that coming (3) If Negans group was so large, how did they not know about Ricks group until he killed a bunch of them. Seriously are we supposed to believe that group is THAT well organized, but didn't know about a small group and the LAST batch of bad people they blew up?
On the road, it was maybe semi-believable because there are only so many roads.
Remember with the red-haired lady from Negan's group? They had radios & used codes and stuff to communicate. They're pretty well-organized, and also indoctrinated through fear, so they have a huge advantage in terms of communication & coordination.
They really pushed the point that Rick has been being too cocky for the finale.
They say they are coordinated, but up until the finale, all I saw was sheer incompetence...
Rick's score:
- dozens of Saviors in their sleep and/or in their home base
- red-haired lady plus three friends
- red-haired lady's back-up burned alive
- about four of Dwight's crew despite getting the drop
- Half-dozen that stopped Carol
- Entire motorcycle gang in one explosion
Saviors:
- Christine
- somewhat wounded Carol?
- captured Lauren Cohan and Carol but got away.

Edit: Believable would have been Negan's group attacking. They clearly had numbers. Ambush Rick's group, Rick kills a bunch and runs out of ammo, they surrender and end up in a clearing where Negan's setup camp. Incompetent to ninja in one episode = too big a stretch.
What can I say... Negan knows talent when he sees it! If he did get Rick's group to join him (fat chance!) they could probably take over most of Virginia.
That was michonne darryl rosita and glen. I think glen was last one out. Are you saying the first-person cage person is the first-person bat to the head person?Read it somewhere else...
Go rewatch those first-person scenes in the finale where someone's in a cage with light seeping in. Then watch the order in which the people in the cage come out at the end. Fairly good indication of who gets it.

RIP Camera man 1. Your POV shots were legendary and was easily the best acting of the season.
He said that they were not trying to hit them because they were shooting at the ground. There was an SFX cloud at their feet but then they had the bright idea to have Rick's hatchet shot out of his hand. STUPID!Holy crap I hope those Saviors in the woods were trying NOT to hit Ricks group, as that was just horrible. If you can't hit somebody from 50' with a full auto, you obviously intend to allow them to live for one reason or another.
They were covering all of the routes. They only needed to know one thing: Where they were trying to go.That's kind of bullshit... That they're that well organized, that quiet, that well trained, and that good at predicting what someone else will do.
There were only a few routes and they blocked all of them. What's so hard to understand about that? It's not like Eugene was the only person in the world who had/could read a map.Little did they know that Negan has access to the military's satellite and drone systems and can track people on foot, at night, to within a couple of feet. This whole episode has been awful.
Seriously, A leads to B because we need B.
These people got massacred three times by Rick's group and completely botched a situation where they got the drop on the other guys... But suddenly they broke out the ninjas who get the drop on everyone and have crystal balls.
THAT'S why so many felt sick after reading the script! They all saw it as the end of their bargaining positions for Season 7.Simply replace Negan with the CEO of AMC and you'll understand why this episode ended in a cliff hanger.
Guess what cast of TWD -- you all just became expendable (besides Rick and Carl) and if you want to play hardball with contract negotiations then your character was the one that fed Lucille.
Really? What else was good about that episode? All the "But I wanna gooooo!" whining? Please. Bad episode is bad.I thought it was a pretty good episode until they undermined everything in the last seconds with that cheap cliffhanger crap.
It's like they think it's an endless source of entertainment. Seeing Morgan come full circle like EVERY OTHER character who has had such a hang-up seals it for me: When they have nothing else to do with a character they just tick off that bullet point and give them a personal crisis/change-of-heart plot. 🙄I have to say, they did a good job setting up Negan at the end there. The scene was full of tension and it was working. Why they went with that cliff hanger was beyond stupid. All it did was fuck up Negan's entrance. What should have been a break with people talking about how much of a bad ass and how dangerous Negan was, is now "who got hit?" It's such a shame. The worst part for me personally is, I shouldn't be surprised. It's beyond laughable at this stage on how bad this show is becoming in terms of surprise.
Also, what is this show's obsession on creating characters that don't want to kill? They always go one of two ways, they're ether broken down and become killers saying "gee, I guess I was wrong" or they're just killed off proving to everyone else they were wrong. How many more times are we going to do that dance. Carol being the latest is even stupider as there isn't really any real reason for it. At least Murder-Stick Morgan had a reason for not wanting to kill, even if they threw that out the window and firmly put him in the "gee, I guess I was wrong" camp tonight.
The only really good thing I can see that came out of this is Comicbookresources had a recap article called "The Walking Dead Recap: "Last Day on Earth" Trolls fans in season finale. At last that title made me chuckle a bit. Outside of that I'm back to hoping the woman gives up on the show so I can just move on..
Next week on the Walking Dead.. Rick's group wander around the woods wondering how they're going to cope with the loss of a camera man after his brutal murder.
