Someone had to do it.

Okay so the thread is official and waiting to be confirmed.

Mixed thoughts on Season 5. There was a lot of speculation that the thug at the end was Nagen from the comics. After the whole Governor battle I am glad the writers confirmed that is wasn't. The Governor story arc was fine... but no need to go through all that again with a different villain.

And whats with all the cannibals? In Georgia no less. Did all the deer get infected? I supposed they were cannibals for the bad assness of being a cannibal and scaring anyone who wants to take you over.

And I think the scientist guy is just some crazy guy and has no clue about a cure.

I said it in the season 4 thread but I'll say it here, too.

I think this show's cult following is ruining it. When it's a comic, writer's have way more leeway into who they can kill off, because they aren't really tangible people like in the show. All these characters now have a huge fan base, and it's going to be extremely hard to actually get rid of major characters, which makes the show extremely predictable. Somebody like Bob is as good as dead, because I'm guessing not many people favor him all that much. On the other hand, somebody like Carol, Rick or Daryl will never get off'ed because fans would rage, and ratings would plummet. This show is now a cash cow for AMC.

I agree with ziggy. They've left any realm of suspense. We know the main crew will never die off. It just isn't going to happen. And, I have a feeling the lesbian girl ain't going anywhere either, because they have to have someone to identify with the lesbian community, after all! Having a gay friend is the new having a black friend. It is stupid.

I dunno, didn't GoT teach us that you can wax anyone? They killed Hershel. I'd think only Rick and Carl are completely off limits. Carol and Daryl I could see either of them getting axed further down the road. Same with Maggie.

We also aren't privy to the contracts of these actors, which is another limiting factor not found in books/comics. We have no clue how these actors negotiated and the writers might have to possibly write around the fact they can't off somebody due to any binding contracts between the actor and the show.

I fully expect the main characters to survive. The only ones possibly open to being killed are Tyrese's sister, Bob, the mullet guy's female friend, and maybe Glen. They wouldn't dare kill anyone else off.

I caught part of one of those Walking Dead behind the scenes specials and it seemed like the actors were always on pins and needles when they get a new script worried that their time has come. Then again, they could have been acting... :hmm:

I'd put Glenn right after Rick and Carl in the do not kill list. :|

Literally, the suspense was "what stupid thing will save them" or "when will Rick make his move". If you actually thought Glenn was going to get it, well, I don't know what to tell you.

I'd normally think that, but I could see them using him as the sacrifice to try and quell the "no main characters can die" brigade. He is important enough to be a main character, but really, not very important after that.

Anything is possible but charmed life isn't a strong enough description for that character. I'd expect them to kill Maggie before him.

Of course I didn't think he was going to get 'offed'

Just the whole scene was disturbing...sorta like watching some isis propaganda video. The lack of emotion was disturbing me.

Kidnapped. One of the trailers showed her being harassed by some nutjobs. I bet we find out at least a bit in the next ep.

Yeah...I remember her yelling from the back of that 70s model car. They just haven't gone there yet. It's one of the few unanswered questions from season 4 that they're going to revisit soon.

yeah... the scene was intense if I imagined myself in the shoes of one od those dudes... what could I do and such.

But as for the suspense there was absolutely ZERO. When I saw the four of them all bunched up on the far end of the trough it was crystal clear what was going to happen. flashback to star trek away missions

Maybe Morgan will stumble upon and rescue her.

I wouldn't even care if there was a hair coming out that mole. So beautiful.

playfully "bite" at 3rd nipple with front teeth, capture mole hair in front teeth, pull mole hair out with front teeth...

her "oow. hey."
you "oops"

...and proceed

i'd like carl to do one of his reckless "off on his own big boy self" moves and get chomped on the ankle.

we'll have to hear another "CAAARRRRLLLLLLLL" from Rick but at least it'll only be one last time.
