Anyone who has read the comics wanna chime in? It seems like they completely gave up on the cause/cure factor except with that new "scientist" dude (Seems really half assed to me).

First off all he asked for comic stuff so no complaining. Besides nobody is even posting in the comic book thread anymore. And do not read if you don't want spoilers.

Yes the comic book gave up completely on the whole cause cure thing and it goes more into how to survive and rebuild some sort of life. Eugene the guy with the cure/cause was in the comic along with Abraham and Rosario. They team up with Rick and the other survivors in a quest to get Eugene to Washington DC. I won't go any further because that might totally ruin it for everyone.

In any case the comic and show have split. Some things are in the comic and a lot of them are not. Heck Andrea is still alive in the comic at this point and has become a bad ass sniper. Mom and Judith were both killed in the prison war with the Governor. The chick that is with Glen now was not in the comic. Neither was Daryl. I don't think the place along the railroad tracks that is supposed to be sanctuary is in the comic either.

Last episode was BORING

What about the big reveal? Everyone had just assumed Daryl was a backwoods redneck who followed around his older drug dealing brother. Now we find out that Daryl was a backwoods redneck who followed around his older drug dealing brother.

Actress is 28, character is 18 (16 when they met on the farm).

There was a Guitar Hero III Les Paul guitar a couple episodes ago. It's definitely modern era. As for CRTs and such: just because they aren't new doesn't mean they aren't everywhere. I'm sitting in front of a wall of them at work right now.

Hahah true, the ATOT'er in me would play out the Zombie world so much differently.

I'd definitely harvest a bunch of solar panels and get some computer infrastructure going, build UAVs, etc. RC cars with wal-mart MP3 players and grenades rigged up on them, etc.

Yeah... and some rednecks with surplus AK-47's are going to shoot you and steal all of your toys while out scavenging even though they have no idea how to use most of them 🙂

Dang I'm like the only one who liked the episode. I liked the whole country club set. They did a really cool job with that. Did you catch the signs of class warfare taking place in there before it all turned to shit?

You know I am always happy to get away from Carl (good lord he was fucking awful in the previous episode) and get to Daryl, but that said, this episode was a snooze. I was actually fine with the first half of the episode, but the latter half was absolutely brutal. The writers are not good enough to pull off that kind of stuff.

This season is reminding me of how annoying the farm house season was.

Yeah I noticed that were people holed up in the club house? Why hang them and if you stayed why would you keep a hanging zombie?
Maybe a band of roaming survivors did it?

I imagine there was a period of time where everything was anarchy, and people did not yet understand all of the zombie rules.

Trivia: Daryl was throwing darts at a framed collage of portraits, of the golf course president and other uppity folks... The people in those pictures are people from the production crew.

Last survivors hung themselves not knowing they would turn? It's happened in the series before.

Also, he burned one bundle of cash but they never explained why he was taking valuables in the first place. WTF, D?!

One of them had "Rich Bitch" sign on her, I doubt that would involve a suicide. I didn't get the money thing either. I am assuming its the writers way of saying this is what Daryl always wanted to have but never could until now. In this world Daryl is a powerful person in the pre-zombie world Daryl is close to useless.

Money is good kindling... I use it all the time. Well, my butler does.
