can't wait! 1 and 2 were very nice, hope the venom character gets the most screen time 😉

I'm hoping it will be something like the Sandman battling Spiderman at the beginning of the movie (instead of Spidey chasing some anonymous crook driving a car), Venom being the main storyline, and Hobgoblin/Norman either being the setup for a future movie or the evil mastermind behind the scenes.

I don't want to see a lame-o Batman like villain teamup.

batman was infinitely better than spiderman

he is talking about batman forever / batman and robin

I figure they are likely reimagining Venom as Spidey's darkside/evil twin, hence the casting of Topher to play him. It won't make the purists happy, but it could work in terms of the story. AS far as the number of villians, I think Rami can pull it off. Heck, Batman Begins had Scarecrow, Ra's Al Ghul and even managed to sqeeze in the Batman orgin story.

They should've stuck to the origional venom storyline as well as the black spidey. That was the best suit ever. Carnage would be an awesome character to stick in as well.

Agreed. I loved the venom story line and Carnage should be in there also.

Topher will have to be CGI'ed the whole time while being Venom. Even if he does "bulk up" he'll only be the size of an average guy. He'd have to pack on about 100 lbs. to his 130lb frame to even come close to resembling Venom.

Stupid casting decision IMO.

I hate Venom, but I can tolerate him if they ditch the goofy alien costume thing and just have him as a guy with the same powers of Spider-man. There were what, 15 of those altered spiders in the first movie?

But if they go with the CGI mouth/tongue thing, it doesn't matter how good the reviews are, I won't see it.

You hate venom because of his aesthetics? Wow... just... I dunno... maybe try and think of something worthwhile to rag on?

Anyway, I'm with just about everyone else on here. Unless they focus on ONE villian for 90% of the movie or do a two/three-parter starting with the black spidey and running through carnage... no way is this movie gonna be half decent.

I hope they reconsider using that wretched toothed witch Dunst as the heroin.

LMAO - Did you intentionally misspell that? 😀

I don't know about all that, but I'm ready for a Bruce Campbell cameo.

Even at his age, I would prefer Bruce of Topher for Venom. However, he could steal the movie from the other actors.

Here's a shot of me and Bruce Campbell taken a few weeks ago (in between takes) and he might need to lose a few pounds to be a good Venom; I'd just watched "Army of Darkness" shortly before that and it was quite the contrast.

what happened to both actors playing the chameleon in different forms? topher grace is not a good venom.
