Being that they introduced the one armed doctor who turns into the alligator, it's pretty freaking lame that he's not going to be a villain.

Yeah but they've also mentioned Eddie Brock and shown J Jonah Jameson's son who brought the Venom symbiote back with him in the 90s cartoon version of Spiderman.

yeah, but i figured with the pace and tone of the movies they werent going to go with the venom angle right away, if ever. the lizard seemed a bit more feasible to me than venom, but go figure.

Yeah but Venom makes the fan-boys spooge their panties. This is supposed to be Raimi's and Maguire's last go with Spiderman so it isn't too surprising.

Fixed.

thats exactly what im thinking. either fan or studio pressure, perhaps both, painted raimi into a corner and had him rush out venom.

What is the difference between Hobgoblin and Green Goblin? I never read the comics much and I don't remember both of them being in the TV show.

I'm hoping it will be something like the Sandman battling Spiderman at the beginning of the movie (instead of Spidey chasing some anonymous crook driving a car), Venom being the main storyline, and Hobgoblin/Norman either being the setup for a future movie or the evil mastermind behind the scenes.

I don't want to see a lame-o Batman like villain teamup.

I seem to remember reading that somewhere...

This will be the last one for Raimi, Maguire, and Dunst. Whether they will make anymore without them is up in the air.

i cant see Grace as Venom. i really cant.

so all 3 of them will be villains in this one? or will they delay Franco's Goblin transformation to #4?

Kirsten Dunst will have no role in this one i bet you. she's all giddy with Peter Parker now, there's no more story on that side...

Someone is always trying to kill Mary Jane in Spiderman.
I killed her a lot in college.

There's always a good topless or sex scene that needs to be done

Wow...I'm hoping a lot this is just unfounded rumors, that website seemed at least partially speculation. Otherwise, this next spiderman movie already sounds like its going to suck bigtime. Topher Grace had better start doing steroids, HGH and getting leg extensions because aside from being not a woman he is about the exact opposite of venom. Venom isn't just some scrawny nerd with a super suit...he was a huge fvcking guy even before he got the suit. Topher Grace could not be more wrong for that role, he's smaller than Toby Mcguire.

And three villians just sounds like a recipe for disaster. You could barely do a decent rendition of the Venom story in one movie without a bunch of other douchebags stealing run time. If you set it up like Queasy outlined where the other two guys aren't even really part of the main story arch maybe you could pull it off in under three hours but...Topher Grace as venom still?
