The very best 6600GT

I am going to buy this card today and I need an expert advice.

Anandtech Best 3

1) Leadtek
2) XFX
3) Galaxy (Anandtech sayd is bad overcloker)

Guru 3D

Galaxy Editor Choice and said is a great overclocker

??????????????????????????????

HELP PLEASE

I'm in the same situation as you. I don't know which card to choose. I'm hesitating between the Leadtek, the MSI and the XFX. The XFX is the cheapest one, but some says that it's the "crappiest" one. The Leadtek is probably the best but very rare here in Canada.

I'm just f*cked up... I don't know which one to choose :S

The card isn't 50 bucks... it's a 200-300 investment... money is not falling of trees, I want the best for my rig dude, and that's normal. Now, I'm not asking about the performances but overall... just overall (reliability, package....).

The XFX is 50 bucks (CAD) cheaper than the MSI one. So, is the XFX (the normal one, not the Extreme Edition or whatever) worth it?

I have a Leadtek 6600GT, and I'm happy with it. IIRC I paid $209 for it about a month ago from ZZF, and it came with Doom 3. I overclocked it to the recommended auto-sensed numbers (don't remember exactly what they were offhand) and it now gets 3840 in 3DMark05 with vertical sync turned off. It powers Doom 3 at high quality UXGA on my DVI flat panel with no problems (AA/AF are turned off). I'm keeping it until it's rusty and old and the bits fall off.

geesh, I put up a post on the same thing, and everybody told be to get an evga, so thats what I got.....

http://forums.anandtech.com/me...=y&amp;keyword1=6600gt">this thread. no mention of leadtek, just evga and bfg.</a>

FWIW, I would rate them:
1. Leadtek
2. BFG
3. eVGA

but that is just based on lots of varying reviews and company confidence overall.

I wouldn't hesitate to buy an eVGA as the LEadtek and BFG can be VERY hard to find at times.

WHO THE HELL CARES ABOUT 1-5 FPS?

Bro you know that your "card" cant make a 1-5 FPS slideshow with new games? So 1-5 FPS are a gameplay for you, dont you think. So that extra boost is worth the extra wait.

Just evade the MSI it sucks, you can fry my balls on it.

ya, you made a good choice. derek's review was well written but isn't the final word on how each card performs. that is just how the samples he had performed. personally, i would have chosen the evga over a leadtek as well.
