You are a tool if you think Apple is going to totally abandon PPC.
They won't totally abandon them right away. It took them 6 months after releasing OS 9 before they officially dropped support. Since OSX 10.0, they've released about 1 version per year. If you look at their own apps, most require the current OS, or the previous version. Backwards compatibility is not a priority at Apple. I don't think they'll abandon PPC right away, but there will be growing caveats.
