Ok, I did some searching and nothing fit exaclty what I wanted, so I figured I would post and see what y'all think.

My current main machine looks like this:
Athlon 2500+ FSB changed so it is a 3200+
512MB DDR-3200 Giel
Abit NF7-S 2.0
Enermax Whisper 350W
Radeon 9600 pro
WD 40GB
Maxtor 250GB

Currently I have this in a black enermax case with 5 case fans. I just recieved a Antec Lanboy as a gift along with a Seagate 200gb drive. This weekend, while transfering the system to the new case, I am going to image the 40gb, put it on a 40gb partition of the new seagate, and use that as my boot drive, but that is irrelevant.

For budget reasons I like to go 1.5 years min before upgrading a core component and 2-3 years for a pheripheral. This Christmas I am probably getting a GeForce 6800 GT (I am definitly getting a new graphics card, just not sure which one yet). Before that point I plan to buy a new psu which is where I get to my questions.

After reading posts and reviews, it seems that I am safe sticking with the main brands of PSU's such as Enermax, Antec, and Thermaltake. I like the Thermaltake Silent Purepower 480w (mainly due to it's $55 price tag) though I have been looking at the Antec true 430 as well. Within 9 monthes I plan on upgrading to a Athlon 64, which of these powersupplies would best suit my needs? I know the 350 is fine for now, but I prefer to have some headway, especially with the 6800 GT saying a 350w was min, I hate bare min.

Sorry for the long post, just wanted to clearly spell out my wants and situation, that way it will be easier to render assistance, at least thats the thought. Let me know if you want any more info.

*Edit In my case, money is not techincally a problem, though I am always one who looks for the best bang for the buck

Antec True 430... I've never been a fan of Thermaltake PSU's, and I'd be way of any cheap PSU.

Thermaltakes rated well on several reviews and are not considered cheap, but what about wattage? what kind of future would I have with the Antec true 430 watt? For instance, would it be powerful enough for a A64 with water cooling and 4 hard drives?

I have a thermalake PSU. It's actualy my second one, because the first one died after only 2 days. The 12v rail on them is a little weak for my tastes as well, so I would stick with an enermax or an Antec.
