We need to do this in Falluja also. We need to drop a MOAB right smack in the middle of Falluja and Najaf. The terrorists cannot think they can win against the US!!!!! MOAB NOW!

Why don't you enlist in the military right now if you're so gung ho about it?

if youre not military, you can't make that suggestion and have it mean anything. so untill then, stfu.

You're not "military" either.

But of course, when you do enter it, I will graciously and respectfully thank you for your service.

So I guess that means only military men/women have a valid opinion on the war effort???

How? We are at war with them as we were with the Japanese. Had we not used what we did in WWII then we would have lost many soldiers trying to invade Japan. It's not exactly identical situations, but what's that matter.

How can they be "terrorists" when they are fighting a desperate war against an invading army.? They are Iraqi patriots who lying down their lives for their country.

No, they are Iraqi insurgents that want to form a new dictatorship and crush the kurds and sunnis. These people are lead by Sadr, who is a murderer. While the Sunni insurgents are fighting for their lives, because they know/fear what will happen when the Shittes take control in a "democratic election". The Kurds are just keeping mum up north, hoping and praying Turkey doesnt come and slaughter them again.

The US is damned it we do and damned if we don't in this situation. We can pull out, but we dont have many options avalible in Iraq right now. If the US pulled out now, Iraq would no longer exsist. Civil war my ass. Iran, Turkey, and Syria would move in and fight for parts of Iraq, with Turkey taking Kurdistan, Iran taking the Shitte area, and Syria taking the Sunni Triangle.

Spoken like a true Bush fanboy.

The difference, oh ignorant one, is that Japan had invaded several countries and attacked us on our own land. Iraq, in 2003, was in no way, shape, nor form any kind of a threat. Incinerating thousands of civilians would put us on par with Saddam. We've already killed the same # of civilians in a year that Saddam averaged over his reign. How are they any better off???

How do you know they want a new dictatorship? IT sounds like its the Kurds and Sunnis fearing democracy. Minority rights, rule by the majority.

Actually, yes. They are the boots on the ground. They are the ones who drop the bombs, shoot the guns, and have bullets and RPGs whizzing by their heads. They know much more than you on how to conduct this war.

My question still stands. If you're so gung ho about killing and dropping bombs, why don't you go do it yourself?

By your completely ridiculous statement, you excluded politicians who START and END wars. You also exclude common citizens who elect these officials. So why even have this Politics forum here? I mean we should close and it make it off limits only to military men/women, because they know "how to conduct this war."
rolleye.gif
I will say that their opinons have more merit since they are fighting, but citizens still have a say too. But by what you are saying, NONE OF OUR OPINIONS count!!!! LOL. I will now cease talking to you. I don't have to answer your question. Simple and ignorant people don't deserve my time.

I like you.

Decisions like which military tactics to use and which bombs to drop where are ALWAYS made by military officials. I have full faith that they can conduct a war better than politicians in Washington can, and certainly better than you can(numerous Saturday nights playing Risk and Stratego with your grandma don't count).

This is a free country. You can say whatever you want to say and give your opinions. I encourage you to make even more. I'm not trying to censor you or shut you up. I'm just pointing out how you're in no position to recommend MOABs be dropped in the middle of a town...

Why are you trying to twist this into something it isn't? I just pointed out that when we bombed Japan, that ended the war with japan. It killed massive amounts of civilians. It was very effective in getting the Japanese's attention, I don't think we could ever do the same again because of all the media and stuff that we have today that we didn't have back then.

[rant]As far as the Bush fanboy comment, you are a total fvcktard. I rather be in Bush's corner than some damn tree humper corner. What made my statement even remotely political? Do you have comprehesion problems? Of course you probably do, aren't you the idiot that said that the supreme court would get rid of that marriage admendment once it got to them? Why don't you take a damn course on government and figure out how it works you moron. Then take a course on history. [/rant] :)

I'm not the one who was making comparisons between Japan and Iraq and implying to condone killing thousands of innocents in Iraq in order to end the fighting. We have absolutely ZERO justification for even being in Iraq, much less killing thousands of civilians.

As for the "damn tree humper corner", I agree. There are certainly some wackos on the left. But, I am no longer in the Bush corner. I've voted Republican most of my life (the only exception being Clinton in 1992). Bush has destroyed our foreign policy and is working on destroying the U.S. by further polarizing our population's views.
