The US messed up AGAIN....

The US had felt there would be a FIERCE battle for Karbala considering it's only 50 miles from Baghdad, however the town fell with little resistance and they drove down main street with thousands of Iraqi citizens cheering and welcoming them....................😀

More and more the Iraqi people are warming up to our presence, especially when their saefty is guranteed. We have to include a HUGE thank you to Saddam, for being such a horrible leader, you made our job very easy. The atrocities you have committed in the last two weeks will be the last reminder to your people about how much better off they are without you.

 
In a few months you can look forward to Walmart sweat shops! Not only that but for a low low price you can watch your country's resourses be sucked away to pad an American's bank account.

There will be lots of love for Americans in the coming years. From dictatorization to globalization in one fell swoop. Hopefully this one will work out better than the Shaw of Iran did. 😉

we had a great relationship with the Shah, was it our fault there was a revolt and the Islamic Republic was formed? Yeah, cheer the creation of modern terrorism...


Right now the resources of the Iraqi people are sitting in a bank in France, alot of still was being controlled by Saddam in the food for oil program. Between 1996-2000 he gave Russia and France each over 2 billion. There were deals for much more once sanctions were lifted, but I bet you believe they were only working to have those lifted for their stated "humanitarian" reasons.
They made deals that would gurantee Saddam STAYED in power, I doubt the Iraqi people want to see THEM profit from the rebuilding.

I wonder if it's that same clip of Arab people dancing that they showed after 9/11? "Dancing Arabs" really seems to get high mileage in American TV. 😉

well, were there american tanks and troops in that footage too? then I doubt it's the same one. The fact that they are high fiving and cheering and giving the peace sign to our troops suggests it happened now, not on 9/11.....

No... I just don't have a TV so I can't see the footage. 🙁

All I know is that every couple months something in the world happens and Arabs dance on American TV. It either makes Americans very happy or very angry. I've yet to see a news report of dancing Arabs that people are indifferent to. 🙂

I thought the battle was easy because all the Republican Guards retreated to Baghdad to get ready for the MOTHER OF ALL UNBAN COMBAT.
 
that is a rather astute observation though.....the power of the dancing Arabs.

on a side note I have watched INFANTS "dance", interesting the effect music has on people and some animals, almost an instinctual repsonse...

Alot fled into that Mosque and are still there, we will not fire on the building itself. I was commenting on the reactions of the civilians.

No no no... You have it all wrong. I'm just trying to insure that the new Iraq is built to serve the American people. I'm with our congressmen and women on this. The more controlled provinces we have the lower our prices will be for goods and services.

Sounds good to me. My bank accounts need a little padding.

Remember, we took over Japan and made them better. We can do the same for Iraq. Besides, I'd like to someday tour the middle east without having to worry about getting my head chopped off. Even the phillipines are better now, thanks to our influence. Its time we spread the wealth to the middle east.

I must admit that it's rather odd to see the word "ayatollah" used in a positive context. Those of us who were around in 1979 came to relalize that the Ayatollah Khomeini was the personification of evil, the Bin Laden of his time, as it were.

They were probably impressed that the sacred shrine in Karbala was not destroyed and that the US colonel paid his respects to the local cleric there.

they were upset as we approached the mosque where some rep guard are hiding, iUS troops wisely dropped to a knee, pointed their weapons into the ground and held off...
