Slark ultimate now can't be seen even by normal invis detection abilities, including towers. Not sure when this change happened, because I haven't seen very many slarks.

How the hell are you supposed to counter him now, though? It used to be you buy dust, and if he removes the dust debuff with his ability at least that involved some skill on his part. Now you just can't counter his invis at all, no matter what?

I guess if you didn't get any long stuns on the opposing team, slark is supposed to be a free win.

AoE stuns - e.g. Magnus, Slardar, Tidehunter, etc.
 
I should probably post this on Reddit, but is there a bug with LC's Duel?

CM on our team uses Frostbite on enemy SF. As LC, I start attacking, and wait for Frostbite to go away before I Duel. I don't know if it was how I timed it or what, but I used Duel, and SF just turned around and walked off, almost as far as half a screen away, while I was standing in place and hitting the air. He ended up dying and I got the damage boost, but yea, bug or what?

I can post the replay if you guys want. I might post it on Reddit later.

It might just be a cosmetic bug since he still died and you got the bonus damage. I guess it'll be better if we can see how it exactly happened.

Yea but it's not cosmetic if my allies have to run after SF to hit him as well.

Might post it later. Feeling a bit lazy right now.
 
I have ran couple of tests in Solo RMM. Initial rating of 3700 and have climbed myself up to 4100, I noticed I dealt with a lot more bad players and lost a lot more during prime hours. (3PM-11PM) Avoid prime hours at all costs, it's typically filled with casual players who got to their RMM playing against other casual players and have had their ranks boosted. You'll have your typical asshole who just gets home and decides to be an ass to everyone because they've had a bad day.
When someone is playing the game at 3AM in your timezone, they are generally better or want to be better and enjoy the game. This doesn't apply to foreigners.

I havn't played much of dota for last 6 months so I'm not sure this is true or not but people tell me whenever someone pick slark they pick bloodseeker to counter him. Because blood can see slark all the time his health won't regenerate. but when slark ultis his hp will regenerate.

Took a fairly long break from Dota 2 (last game was in Nov) and went back this weekend after a bottle of wine. First game randomed Earthshaker. 4-0-12 before we won. Second game randomed Lina. Another win going 6-0. Played a third and lost, but went 5-1 with Bounty. Decided after dying, it should be time to pack it up. =(

Why did I go back or why did I take a break? I went back because I just felt like playing some Dota, really. I left because I ended up getting a bit busy IRL and the friends I generally played with did as well.
 
I. Just started playing this and its really fun. Started playing mostly co-op bot matches first to get the hang of things, and then jumped into some mp. Got lucky on the first few matches and won them.. Then I pick sniper on my 5th or so match and went 21-0.. Omg I hearing HOLY SHIT!! I just been winging it for now.. Not sure what carrying, Jungle, etc. Is yet really.

You just made it sound like you quit because of doing badly or something.
 
With the New Bloom Festival, you will have a new game mode added - Random Ability Draft. For those familiar with the OMG versions of Dota, this works in a pretty similar fashion where you are randomed a hero and then allowed to pick from a set of abilities for your hero.

Terrorblade will come with an Arcana that will come with various features and benefits. It will be available starting February 6, 2014 on the Dota 2 Store. Early purchases will be rewarded with the Exalted Quality

Here is the drafting screen for the new Random Ability Mode (more commonly known as OMG Mode).

All players will be given 10 random heroes and their abilities will be added to the pool of available skills along with 2 additional heroes added randomly. You can pick 3 normal abilities and 1 ultimate for your hero in a timed drafting phase and go crazy.

A secondary confirmation box is now added if you accidentally press on "Leave Game". No more quitting via misclicks.
