Rumor has it that there was a bug in deleting some DOTA2 item on the Chinese servers either last night or the night before; the bug was that you could delete the rare item and get a chance at a mythical, and then purposefully crash the client and when you logged back in, you had the rare item again. Because of this, the Chinese market supposedly had a flood of mythical items at cheaper than normal prices.
 
The dota 2 item market is mind boggling to me. I bought one of the shorts from the TI3 "secret shop" thing, which came with a random treasure. Got some invoker pauldrons and sold them on the market for about $50, making the effective price of the shirt... free.

I'm just glad someone snagged my courier; I used the $150 I got to buy a bunch of DOTA2 crap I would have normally not spent money on, picked up the Skyrim super-loaded DLC bundle on steam, and picked up some keys in DOTA2 that I used to trade for rare items in the DOTA2 marketplace (e.g. the Tiny skin).

I still have a bunch of money left over too; before getting the unique courier I had spent a total of $20 on DOTA2; basically the compendium for $10, and some tickets for various tournaments. The game has literally paid me back over 7 times what I have put into it at this point!

I looked over the profile of the dude that bought my courier; this guy had all kinds of crazy DOTA2 items, basically every immortal, for example 2 x dragonbone hooks, timebreaker immortal weapon, multiple of almost every courier, etc.. This guy must have dumped thousands of bucks into the marketplace buying this stuff. I found it incredible that someone could spend so much money on a single video game, but then again was still happy he bought my courier for so much money!

It's just like a comic book or baseball card collector. Only the items he's collecting our digital and not truly "owned" by him and one day they will go poof when Valve pulls the plug on DOTA2. But maybe he's a billionaire and so what's a few thousand dollars to him?

I'm game for the CM staff as well as long as it isn't the Snowdrop one as I have that (watch it be that one hahah)
 
Wow this is incredibly lame; was watching a tournament and received a prize, can't see it, so I look at my inventory via my steam profile and it's "Emerald Polycount Collection" chest. Since when did they start giving chests as tournament prizes? This is the first time that's happened to me.
 
I don't see this anywhere, but there is a big update coming to Dota 2 on Monday.

Noteworthy changes:

LAN mode incorporated
GLADOS annoucner pack and HUD skin
Captain's draft added
Changing backpack to armory, with improvements
Items that are automatically assembled can be disassembled for 10 sec.
Timberchain is now interrupted by stuns (boo!)
Pudge hooks now hook towards where Pudge initially hooked
Fixed instant toggles of armlet
Creeps (minitaurs and satyrs especially) now have cast animations for spells.
Bug fixes galore.
Supposed hint of actions against botters
 
If you're a good drafter and enjoy playing Captain's Mode, you can now choose to become the Captain of the team in the first few moments of the game.

Adding to that, three new language options have been added - Korean, Spanish and Portuguese.

The Aperture Science Wardcores managed to sneak out of the lab somehow. Available on September 23, 2013 as a part of the Portal Pack. They come with custom particle effects.

A quick preview of the Portal HUD that will be available as a part of the Portal Pack on Monday along with the GladoS Announcer Pack and the Aperture Science Wardcores.

Beginning soon, all users that are caught by the Valve Anti-Cheat System using external programs linked to Dota 2 will have their accounts suspended from the game for 30 days.

Enemy and non-Allied HP bars when under query will now show in Red. Adding to that, spectators will see the Dire Team's HP Bars in Red too.

The Armory | Your backpack has now been renamed to The Armory and comes with a bunch of new features including Custom Filters to sort your items as you want, search functionality, working previews and more.

Local Play will be live this Monday in Dota 2. The patch is now live on the test client for who are willing to try it out before hand.

I've quit (and this time no urge!), but still love following and wasting time reading/watching this god damn game.
 
from last 7-8 months i was playing around 3-4 games every week, but now i will start playing more again 😀

e1 after 150 lvl i have only got 1 mythical item as drop.
