I think it's a fairly interesting take. Seems to be the conventional belief would be that the shutdown saves money. This article makes a compelling argument that it doesn't, or at least not nearly as much as one would expect. I also like the fact that it takes into account the impact these types of furloughs have on federal employees, which likely would cause a loss of production once they return to work.
