My favorite part of the last episode was when that guy said he was part of the Unit, the Col Ryan told him to empty his pockets. Then Ryan asked where his body bag was because each member of The Unit carries their own body bag.

Great last episode. If you guys like this, you have to read Eric Hanley's book "Inside Delta Force" the first hundred pages is about him making selection. This show is a lot better than FX's "Over There". Action sequences are pretty decent. President Palmer actor has shaken his image of 24 and allstate commercials after 2+ seasons.

4) Hector Williams
5) Colonel Tom Ryan
6) Charles Grey

hmm, a tough Q. i like every single one of 'em 'cause they each bring a particular skill & character trait that makes the team work well together. from that list, i'd say that i like the Col the least, only because he has such a small part/role in the show. but given in that one episode where he would not betray his subordinates, and willing to pay the price with his career & marriage AND constantly sticking up for his men when *suits* come around, i have to give a man like that huge props for sticking to his guns under overwhelming pressure. i just hope in real life there are high-ranking military officers who are like him. and before i get ppl replying back reminding of his one character flaw (Tiffy), i'm in complete admiration of only his professional side, k?

that *look* that u speak of is 'cause Ryan & Tiffy had hooked up an episode or two ago, so it was like that *love triangle* feeling, not so much that the Col would have wanted one of his guys killed. no way.

Well, yes, I'm aware of that, but Tiffy saw Hector at the hotel when Ryan saw him. She knew he saw them and then he showed up dead a couple days later. The 'look' was when they were carrying Hector's body off the plane. She may THINK that Ryan had him killed.

right right. it probably crossed her mind......for a wee bit. ;)

Ok, I'll admit I wasn't too bothered by the appearance of the squad showing up in the truck in the first episode, but now that we've seen part 2, which was also a good episode, it does add enough to bug me.

If everything is supposed to be so secret with no US troops in Beirut etc., exactly where was this truck waiting and where did the squad that dismounted go after getting out of the truck?

Also, has anyone read any media reports on why Hector was killed off? I don't think the show has been on near long enough for it to be a stale cast member situation.

I believe the affair goes back to season one. It stopped and is back on.

The only thing I didn't like about this last episode was Blaine going in solo and killing 40 people by himself. Felt too much like the typical cheesy hollywood action scene.

Yeah that was a little over the top. Yeah I know it's TV but come on he kills all 40 people unscathed?

Well, he is special forces, and they were all a ragtag group of untrained kids with guns...looked like half of them didn't even have guns

I don't think it was that bad for the one vs many fight scene.

His opponents were not in a home location; they were at the current HQ of the guy just captured. Based on the guy shot earlier in the episode, we know this is militia quality at best with training and loyalty. The first guy killed when he tossed the knife was the leader of the remaining bunch giving even less incentive for the rest to stay around after the gunfire starts.

After tonight's episode, do you think Mack knows about Tiffy and Col. Ryan?

I think he suspects. Given that Ryan had already made it clear he cared about Tiffy (in one way or another), and that there was no intimate action at the door, for all Mack knows he was simply checking up on her after she was discharged from the hospital.

Assuming that Hector didn't tell Mack before he died. His ex-GF was uncertain. IF Hector did tell, and Mack was just looking for confirmation, I think he got it.

Still, Ryan is an ex-operator, so you'd think he be on his guard for a simple stake-out like that.

Given the "scenes from our next episode", I assume Molly catches wind of it at some point.

Still, I don't think she'd say anything. She seemed to be pretty understanding of Tiffy's predicament. No [known] motivation to fuck Tiffy'slife up.

doubt Annie (Hector's GF) would spill the beans to anyone.

i'm thinking Molly finds out somehow, heck maybe from Tiffy!

*tryin to jog my memory*

Kim has known about Tiffy & Ryan. towards the end of one episode (season 2 maybe), who was the one (Molly or Kim?) who came to the door when Tiffy was dressed in a bathrobe. Tiffy had told that person she wasn't seeing Ryan anymore, but that clearly wasn't the case.

mack knows of course, that was the whole point of even showing that segment. that episode was pretty lame. Mexican gang stealing ordinance from the army?!! they needed the Unit to infiltrate that?!!

plus i can't believe Grey had such a hard time fighting his old buddy. Being part of the Unit, I suspect he'd have the skill to one shot his butt.

They got Grey because of his connections to the Gang. Also, the gang was smuggling high explosives to guys who could potential be middle-men for terrorists.

As for the combat, I don't have any knowledge of their training, but the other guy was also army trained in Hand-to-Hand, so it would definitely have been more of a challenge than the average terrorist thug.

Kim and Molly both know from Season 1 IIRC, but she made it clear (to them at least) at Ryan's wedding that it was over. Since Ryan got divorced...

Still, I can't see Kim, Molly, or Hector's ex blabbing. No motivation. They all know the stakes (someone gets shot) and they all seem sympathetic to Tiffy.

Personally, I think Hector tipped off Mack before he died. If so, it's gonna be an interesting episode next week.

I still think that Ryan had Hector killed. I think that Mack is beginning to suspect something is not right, if you remember Medical Examiner telling Mack how Hector was shot. It was a professional job.

Right. That was the only part that was hard to believe and came off as over the top Hollywood crap. I wonder what is going to happen with Colonel, Tiffy, and her husband (forgot his name). He saw Colonel drive away at the end of the last episode.

I wonder if Hector's death is making way for a new member to the Unit to spice up the cast or something. Who knows. Glad others out there love this show as much as I do.

How could Hector (specifically) have been visible to a sniper, from inside that truck with the canvas all around? Seemed to me like the sniper just fired at the middle of the truck and got lucky with a kill shot.

I think the rear of the truck was open and clear.

okay, but the shot came from a rooftop, and Hector was pretty deep into the truck as I remember, with other guys between him and the rear - I thought the shot must have come through the canvas at an angle diagonal to and above the only opening

don't make me get out my CSI bullet trajectory rods!
