I'm considering watching the first few seasons, is it a decent show? I assume it must be halfway decent since it's been on so long

Yes. Though I've grown to resent any time Tiffy is in the storyline.

Yes I watch it, and this ^^. It's a great show to watch if you're able to ignore how ridiculous it can be. It's just a fun action spot.

Yeah it's pretty good. I hate the "wives" part of the show, but overall I enjoy it.

I don't mind seeing the show from the wives point of view. It's what makes the show so different from other military shows IMO. But Tiffy...they need to either do a long, protracted storyline and develop her a bit or just kill her in some accidental shooting. She brings absolutely nothing to the show. She's almost used as a stop-gap measure whenever the plotline is getting boring.

are you renting this or watching online? If online, where? I can't find the first seasons online anywhere.

Yeah, its good but the whole back on the base plotlines are kinda silly. Its like rainbow six but with even more back home drama.

I enjoy it. Like everyone else has said, they really need to do something with Tiffy. How long has she been in divorce limbo now? It feels like it's been this way for a season and a half, easily.

It's good stuff generally, unless you count the most recent episode. WTF. It's like they took a bastardized version of the Da Vinci Code and mixed it with the writers' rejects; and season 4 was going so well too. :( Next week better be good.

Yeah, you'd think after coming home he'd say "hey colonel by the way I was tortured on the last mission and they injected me with hardcore heroin so now I'm an addict. Can I get detox?" They're probably going to turn it into Bob having a superman complex or something and have a nice unrealistically sappy storyline. Bob's justification was that he'd be kicked out for being an addict. Why would Ryan kick him out for being tortured? Makes no sense. :p

That and Kim just "happening" to be outside holding the baby (the fact that she even went to get it in the first place is beyond ludicrous) when Bob completes his mission is utter BS.

Who's this "committee" and why do they have sway over a US Admiral; and even if that was plausible why didn't Jonus just lie and say "I have it, come pick us up"; and why go through the badly cliched "warrior finding peace" routine that sounds like something out of Power Rangers? And WTF were they doing in Chile in the first place?

All that said, I'll still be buying the Season 4 DVDs when they come out. :) Awesome season up till now (especially how they finally closed the Tiffy/Ryan plot).

Note: Power Rangers is kickass, but it has no place in The Unit. :p
