This on-again/off-again cycle with The Unit is driving me crazy and killing any sort of momentum for the series. Do you have any scoop to compensate viewers for the annoyance? ? Andrea
MATT: Andrea, I am assured that March sweeps will be resplendent with fresh Units. On the scoopy front, we soon will be meeting a new member of the Unit. But is he a good apple or someone with ulterior motives?

This season as a whole has sucked. I like the fact that it's been a little bit more focused on the guys and the action part of it (or at least in my mind it has been slightly more oriented that way) but this whole living in secrecy crap just sucks. The storyline is terrible. The worst part is this crap with Betty Blue and that one chick with the airline business. No backdrop into "suddenly I'm in love, it happened within 24 hours"...then they backed away from it the next 2 episodes, and the last new one back to that?

Just getting away from what made the show good in the first place.

I will say...after the last episode...I have a fonder appreciation for Ryan's wife, or ex. I'd hit that

the way it's been broadcast has sucked, it was one of the first timeslots back and didn't suffer from the delays during the week cause of political season, so the episodes are being re-run/skipped heavier now; but the quality of episodes has been pretty good.

my biggest problem with the airline chick plot is that annoying overprotective hick. What a stupid accent.

Seems like they got away from the Presidential assassination opening storyline from this season. However reading the future episode summaries on Wikipedia I think March is going to be insane for this show.

FINALLY! A new episode!

The new guy - "Whiplash" - I dunno, don't really like him. Seems too clean cut and "hollywood" as far as looks go to really fit in. It was an interesting episode, if not a total rehash of when Bob tried out for the unit. Pretty much knew the whole time that noone actually died and it was all part of the test.

Kind of random, them going after Hector's killer. And frankly, it was rather anti-climactic for him to just get gunned down at a dead end. Although, I did like the "tribute" to hector.

And the chick....is hot. But as much as I like T&A as the next guy, it just didn't "fit" for her to be there in their make-shift comm center with a super low-cut tank top with all the cleavage. They do enough with her as far as undercover operations where she gets to be the arm candy. She's supposed to be a "soldier". What's next? She going to be running an op poolside in a bikini???

I think they got this guy more for his urban ninja abilities. Notice they showcased that during the initial chase scene and then again at the end chase scene? And yea, he doesn't fit the overall unit...I think he's just a temporary character until something happens with him.

boom headshot! and yes Red Cap is quite attractive, but they don't really do anything with her.

What annoys me is that they always take time away from the real missions to show some cheesy drama with Kim or something. I guess it keeps another demographic interested in the show, so that's good. I don't mind if they show more of Tiffy though :). Awesome show overall!

Finally. I love this show but hate how they kept hiatusing it. Basically what would happen to Boston Legal.

This episode made absolutely no sense...

So Whiplash surprises everybody by using a flashbang to eliminate the target, but sets off a secondary blast which sets a PREVIOUSLY HIRED stuntman on fire... which means they somehow anticipated that he would set off the flashbang? What?

And they somehow found Hector's killer? Wasn't the whole point that no one got a clear picture of the killer, that Hector got shot out of no where? Even in Mac's near death dream all he saw was a gun in a window. What the hell?

And Red Cap needs to start kicking more ass in addition to being arm candy.

Sunday was pretty good. Crazy how many peeps just dead, laying in the streets. How about Whiplash throwing his body over the grenade??!!! Lucky him the pin was still intact.

They went so fast in the end explaining everything though, that I almost missed what the whole point of it was. But it'll be interesting to have the stupid airplane company cover done and gone with.

I felt it was a great episode. I was like "oh shit!" when they were under attack...

So was it in fact a coincidence or they were targetting the Unit? He said it was a test case

I think it was the main guys trying to wipe out any co-conspirators in the area after finding out their underlings were getting busted.

Well, guess we know what happens with the new team member. (From the teasers at the end of the episode) Wasn't expecting that to go down, of all things. Think that was poor writing, there could have been some other way for him to be kicked out.
