As aptly pointed out, the whole "children didn't get sick" idea is nonsense. Children used to just die in droves (note the y-axis is deaths per 1000 birthday).

Yeah I looked up some actor on Wikipedia yesterday and they were born in the early 20th century. He was the 9th of 10 kids, 5 sisters died from illnesses before adulthood. Shit we have vaccines for today. Fuck these ignorant fucks.

They have listened to and believed propaganda from the enemy.
Now it has become their identity and their ego will defend such nonsense against all facts, logic, and reason.
Against all decency and decorum, they will cling to falsehoods like a false idol. Until their dying breath.
How does one protect a Democracy from devolving into such madness?
United States is now a cautionary tale of how to fail at that task. Of preserving Democracy, an Enlightened population, and of human rights.
These precious things, they are a packaged deal. Lose one and lose them all. Even if you do not see it yet. We let it slip away from us.
