The ultimate poser's SUV...V6 engine coming for the Porsche Cayenne

They put V6s in Carreras, so why not?

Oh right, that's just what local used car dealers seem to think around here!

LOL, what is sad though is without the Twin Engine Heaters (Turbo's) this one will be the more capable off-road vehicle 😉

I'd like the idea better if it was Porsche's own flat 6.

Yeah, where are they getting a V6? I can't believe they'll fabricate a completely new engine for an unestablished option.

V6 comes from VW's Touareg

356, 914, 924 (IIRC actually an Audi engine) all had VW engines

Poser SUV indeed. Talk about "wannabe".... These people want to be seen in a Cayenne, but then get the one without the studly engine .. sheesh!

I wouldn't want to be "seen" in a Cayenne. The damn thing is too ugly to be seen in. I'm not saying that it is Aztek or Element ugly, but the damn thing has few if any pleasing lines to the eye.

I couldn't agree more.

My dad was on a Porsche club drive in the NC mountains a week or so ago. He said one guy brought a Cayenne and kept up with the 911s and Boxsters Ss pretty well. They weren't driving 150mph, but the roads were pretty twisty.
