Read em and weep. Looks like UK customers have a clear choice, if price is a deciding factor anyway. But I'm still sticking to my 7900 GT SLI order, I need SLI :p

BARGAIN BASEMENT

X1900 XTX for under £300. Now I never thought I'd see that at this early stage of the cards life.

Wow! I'd decided on an SLI set up for my next machine but this is making me think twice. Lets hope this is the start of the price war. How low can they go?

thats this week only so buy while you can.

but blimey! 256mb ATI X1800XT for £211 is a bargain

"
This price isn't going to be around for long..... GET ONE NOW!! You will not find cheaper elsewhere and we won't be able to repeat this price again. "

thats what they say for the X1900XT price (connect 3D) they must of gotten in on a deal or something. because theres litterally an awesome deal on every ATI card going!

£293 for the X1900XT
£311 for the X1900XT-X
X800GTO 16, X800XL, X1600, X800GTO2 , X850 can all be had for well under £150, some even under £100....awesome

so

UK'ers if you want a new GPU now....for £300 dont look any further than overclockers and pick up that card before a) they go out of stock b) the offer ends (which IIRC i think is thursday, could be wrong tho)

Overclockers do have a dodgy reputation though. Their customer service isn't great when something goes wrong and I've heard some rather unsavoury things about the guy who runs the place.

not had a problem with them, built 2 entire rigs from their selection.

they may not always have the cheapest prices but usually they have the most extensive selection, so i can buy everything at once and pay one lot of shipping. rather than buying a component else where coz its cheaper, then paying 2 - 3 lots of shipping, therefore making any saving on the component almost pointless

I've never had a single problem with them and I've ordered thousands of pounds worth of goods. I'd say their service was spot on. Everythings just a phone call away unlike most etailers that rely on email (that never gets replied to) services.

I'd say their RMA services were quick and easy.
I've recently just had my X1900 XTX and Asus A8N32 SLI RMA/refunded from them.
No issues at all.

I've ordered from them in the past too and not had any problems. But a quick Google Groups search reveals that we were lucky. I'm not saying don't shop there but caveat emptor!

No problems here either, and I've ordered LOTS of stuff off them.

Yup agreed. They're all good and well at selling you stuff. But the moment it goes wrong you'll have to ring national rate numbers, hold on for ages and then get attitude from them, telling you to return it to the manufacturer in USA/Far East and not them.

I try to order from others when I can. But sometimes they just have something the others don't.

UK availability sucks!

Is that dildo, the one who plays rock star with the performance predictions?

I've bought most of my hardware from OcUK and have never had a problem what so ever. IMO they have the best selection of hardware, although they might not always have the best price i still rate them.

Lol, whats with all this scandal?

Can you break it down to me in short, because to me that was a sea of garbage.
Looks to me like one or two people have got their tits in a twist over personal fueds with Mark and are trying to take the beef to a more glocal level. Whoever made these chains of anti-OcUK sites obviously have way too much time on their hands lol.

Ok, here's a few things that set my alarm bells ringing: refusal to answer phones or emails, charging for orders that have been cancelled, refusing to acknowledge returned goods, selling damaged or B-grade items as new, 3-4 Week delay before issuing RMA numbers for faulty goods and abusive responses to customer queries on their forums.

I decided not to use them anymore when the owner started a thread on their forums with the subject 'Why do Pakistani's smell?'

Lol. Well I've never had any of the above.

I've been able to ring through to them everytime I've wanted or tried besides the one day they had that staff training meeting.
I have just RMA'd an Asus A8N32 and a Sapphire X1900 XTX and got a refund on both. Took just 2 weeks in total for the process.
I have incurred no additional charges.

So yea, here on my side it's all dandy. The two members of staff I have talked to countless times on their phone services have been extremely polite and helpful (Matt and the other name I cant remember).

Perhaps OcUK have since cleared up their act and are now far better?
Because I'm shocked to hear some of the experiences people have had with them.

I've never been able to get them on the phone, and i have tried a hell of a lot, it seems on some days they just don't pick up the phone at all. The owner is supposed to be a bit of a ******, but the internet is a very unreliable way to judge these things.

I've never had problems with the parts they shipped me, always shipped quickly and well packaged. The prices are alright, if not the best then they are close. I've bought from them and if the price is right (I wish i could justify an upgrade :|:mad; ) then i'll buy again.

Hmm, quite a few people have had problems with customer service this doesn't sound good. I've luckily never had to return any items, and delivery and condition of products have been fine so far.

In my eyes company customer service must be of a good standard if i am to do business with them!

Let me just reiterate though - I haven't had any problems personally. It's just after I saw that racist forum thread, I started reading a bit more about them and those problems I mentioned were just some of what I found.

I usually use eBuyer and plenty of people slate them for good reason but I've not had any reason to complain so I keep on using them. That doesn't mean I'm blind to the experiences of others. I'm sure every company has it's ups and downs and your mileage may vary, etc. I just wanted to make people aware of some of what I'd heard.

So, like, that much for a X1900XT is supposed to be good? That's a joke.
