The TV show Ancient Aliens is stupid

Waidamint OP...you mean the title of the show wasn't clue enough? You actually had to watch it to determine that it was stupid?

:hmm: Maybe you're in the target audience they were aiming for...😛

Uh, he IS.

Even if you do not believe the Bible and all that, there are still other written accounts that a man named Jesus was on the earth at that time period 😛

And no, Christians aren't the "same kinds of morons" (as you put it) who believe in this crazy alien crap.

Jesus is still alive. He mows lawns in my subdivision every Wednesday.

I was just curious about how bad it could be.

The level of stupid was nearly off the charts.

And I thought religion was as stupid as things could get.

I was wrong. 🙁

It's a What If style show. I find it entertaining, in a relaxing sort of way.

You people take it too seriously.

I watch the show with some regularity, along with the Nostradamus, the Bible Code ones, and that code one with the skinny blonde who's supposed to be an engineer - Better than The Comedy Channel, to be sure.

Hell, the History Channel even have "Larry, The Cable Guy" as a host! Nobody in their right mind could ever take them seriously now.

"Bronzer"!! ROFL!!

This is why paying for cable is stupid.

How long before The "History" Channel starts airing "Ow My Balls!"?

😀

What is even better is that The History Channel is now The Conspiracy Channel.
Discovery Channel and TLC no longer have anything to add to the general knowledge of humanity.

The only bastion of hope lies with The Science Channel and The Military Channel.

Is that why I can't find any of the 'good' shows I used to watch about history? Everything has gone 'reality' based. I think it's time to cancel cable as those were really the only shows I watched along with DIY which also are now reality based.

I think the last thing I watched that was decent was about the Templar's coming to America before Columbus.

LOL. Yes you do.

You believe in an whole bunch of nonsense that is totally ridiculous. And not a single thing you believe is even remotely provable.

That's just retarted.

I watch this show to see how whacked out some of their ideas are.
Some of their ideas are really out there, but if you watch without a skeptical mind, some things make you wonder.

How did the pyramids get built? How did people without the wheel move such huge blocks in Meso America?
How did Stone Henge get built by "primatives?"
There's lots of unanswered questions about history. These guys just come up with some of the more creative ways of interpreting it.
If you do not believe in "God" but you say there is a chance of Alien life, what precludes "God" being an alien?

I don't subscribe to any religious belief, but the facts are, Some events in the bible and people, have been proven to have lived. Whether religion is based on an actual diety or "alien" or just mans way of trying to explain the unexplainable, you can't deny that it exists and that it has an enormous impact on humanity.
To dismiss it so quickly is foolish.
To dismiss something completely because you don't believe in it is as foolish as having an un questioning belief in something.

Once 2012 comes and goes we will get our regular sheduled programs back.

actually, those questions have already been answered lots of times.

just because something looks very difficult or impossible to do, doesn't mean it can't be done. People seem to think this stuff gets done in a matter of weeks, when in fact it takes decades or longer to build them.

I always find these people as faithful as the most devout Muslim. "Humans have a hard time explaining this shit, it must have been god, wait, no, ALIENS."

Evidence: They rely on religious texts as much as man, if not more. A good man never did anything, but the average alien propelled human history forward exponentially.

What gets me the most is that there are a lot of modern theories on how dumb monkey caveman(ancient human) could make those great monuments.

then you have the awesome engineering shows that show you exactly how they did it--building large dirt ramps and dropping the blocks off the ramps to sit in place, then digging away the dirt.

These questions really aren't that interesting when you take the time to actually solve the problem. proposing that it's even slightly possible that aliens were involved--much less humans being completely incapable of such simple problem solving...is beyond the pale.

Duuuh - Clearly the Space Aliens taught them to do that! :whiste: :awe:

nah. the conspiracy/apocalypse people have been going strong for centuries. Now they have cable and the internet, and no way will their hunger for foolishness ever be sated to the point that the dumbfuck TV execs are unwilling to cater to their simple, advertisement-soaking minds.

The channel finally jumped the shark when they aired an hour long show about "what if the moon just disappeared?".
Not blown up or stolen by Sumerians, but simply ceased to be.
It was all about the tidal waves baby! 😛
