Honestly, no. I looked at the wiki and turns out he has a biological son in the comics too.

Says that on the show they never mentioned robin's back story tho, maybe that's why I remember him as just his sidekick.

Never on TV to my knowledge. As a TV dad, the first Robin (Dick Grayson) counts as Batman's adopted son. 😉
