The Truth about Monster Cable

Working at BB is great. Rocketfish, Best Buy's brand of cables which are made by Monster, could be our biggest markup. I needed a 4' HDMI cable for my HD-A2, and the Rocketfish MSRP's for $65. I got it for $5.15 🙂.

LOL. My First Home Audio system made me go out and buy an HDTV. I wasn't planning on it, but all that speaker power and a little 19" Viewsonic LCD didn't jive.

Bose is one thing, but MD's actually have good SQ compared to newer sources like an iPod.

It's not as compressed as your run of the mill 128kbps mp3. If you set your mp3 to the same compression ratio, it will sound better than ATRAC. Technology advances, what can I say.

Look around there are others charging high prices too, the Belkin come into mind, I saw a 100 DVI cable @ I believe Circuit City. that A.R. brand makes expensive cables too (Acoustic Research?) saw them @ Best Buy.

I have Monster Audio cables in my car but that's only because I couldn't find another brand that were as flexible, they are so bendable it's like putty. Were they worth 299 bucks? probably not haha.
