I don't think there is a could about it. They ruling today doesn't go into effect till Mid October, allowing for appeal to the SCOTUS. If the past history of the SCOTUS BS rulings are any indication, they will allow the tarrifs to continue until they hear the appeal, or "rule" that it needs to be returned to the lower courts with no explanation, or a calvinball one, allowing the tarrifs to continue. I mean come on, the conservative side of the SCOTUS has proven that they have Trump's junk so far down their throats, it would make a professional hooker/porn star choke.
I know they're liars. The whole point is to maintain a public consensus that the administration is violating the clear meaning of the law and Constitution and the radical SCOTUS is enabling it through their obvious Calvinball decisions. It lets you build public support to reform SCOTUS when you take back power.

Think power doesn't help people like before.. power just steals money from taxes for their donors.

I was just curious when I bought my 1070 since I bought a 9060xt just this month.. it was in 2017. Guess what we didn't pay sales tax back then on internet purchases.

From then came sales tax increases, covid greedflation, current tariffs but the CPE measure is well within check and shows no inflation.. /rolleyes

My car insurance bill has doubled. My cooking oil has doubled. Groceries have doubled. But things are fine for the billionaires.. infact could not be better!

Power derives from the people who grant legitimacy to the exercise of that power. Unpopular people who have tried to shield themselves from the broader public have a habit of not remaining in power if they also managed to piss off the other keys to power. The US has a long, public history of believing in some democratic process - it isn't some nascent democracy with memories of monarchy or dictatorship where the general public may acquiesce to a return to centralized power.

You mean, the retailer didn't collect it. You still owed it under state use tax.

Where have sales taxes dramatically increased?
You think companies are more greedy now than in the past? Salaries were also exceeding the rate of inflation over the last 2 Biden years. So yes, prices were going up, but salaries were going up faster, and as supply crunches cleared up, prices were also stabilizing for many things.
My car insurance bill has doubled. My cooking oil has doubled. Groceries have doubled. But things are fine for the billionaires.. infact could not be better!
Well, my car insurance got cut in half, so I have an anecdote too.

Groceries have also not doubled in price. If you're paying literally double, you have a shopping issue.

There are problems to fix, but you don't have to make up imaginary facts to be mad at. It doesn't bring people to your position when half of what you say is wrong and people figure it out - they start to instead wonder what else you're wrong about.

Beautiful. MAGAs getting screwed in their own game.

That's what lack of education does.. and don't forget about them gutting the department of education.

It's basically a way to make people uneducated to the point where they use their thumb prints in order to sign legal documents. Who knows what the fuck they read.. easy way to steal land and property and start a new era of serfs and vassals!

The federal department of education doesn't have a lot to do with K-12. It is overwhelmingly funded by state and local governments.

Yep and most people don’t know that, so when education continues to decline maybe they’ll figure out what they’ve been wishing for the whole time (that the states should handle it) had been the issue all along.

That’s wishful thinking though.

I’m actually a huge fan of local control of education. If I had my way control would be further devolved from the state down to districts. Communities should teach their own kids as it works better. (This is one reason why things like Teach for America are stupid and should be disbanded)

What do you call capitalists who refuse to believe in free markets and the invisible hand?

What do you call economists who refuse to acknowledge the fundamental economic principle of supply vs demand?

Starts with a “f”…can’t quite remember the word…

Of course they’ll ask SCOTUS to restore the unitary power of the executive to impose tariffs for “national security” reasons. It’s what f******* do.

Mmm... how about to reform that from the ground? The issue is political of course.

I think it's important to note that conservatives never believed in any of those things - they were convenient lies to help get them what they wanted.

I mean when Obama was elected conservatives had nationwide anti-tax protests about tax increases that didn't even exist and then when Trump unilaterally enacts one of the largest tax increases in history not only do they not care, they actively defend them.

It's just lying from top to bottom.

It's not really political but I know I would never hire a TFA person as a teacher. The organization can't be reformed because the fundamental premise it is based on, that poor and/or underperforming school districts would be well served by highly credentialed people, is not really true. Not to mention they have massive attrition as TFA members often do not view teaching as a career but instead as an entry on their resume.

It's just a bad organization doing stupid things but with good PR.
