He just issued another 90 day delay for China tariffs. TACOs not off the menu yet.
Sigh.

Big things have small beginnings:

Even the anchor says Trump's tariffs have brought in 150 billion dollars more to the US.. LOL I guess Paramount doesn't want to say Americans have paid 150 billion dollars in additional taxes!

People voted for MAGA by making the working class and small businesses pay for bilionaire tax cuts!

The issue is that said billionaries are starting to fortify their residences... but at the same time are trying not to distribute their earnings... that is not capitalism then, but just blatant attempt to retorn to monarchies.

Went to go buy another air purifier. I bought one in 2023 for $90. Cheapest I can find that same model for sale now is $153, and it is $160 on Amazon.

Not promoting this but these have been the same price for 3 years.
I bought 2 for me and one for a family member.

I am surprised they haven't gone up.

I saw this as well. Recently, I ended up purchasing a manufacturer refurbished Winix D360, purchased directly from the manufacturer for about $90 shipped, but normally it runs $150-$180 from Home Depot or other stores. The main reason for the replacement was because the filters for the BestBuy-branded one I had became insanely priced and almost always out of stock (~$60+ per filter; probably driven by supply chain issues).

The amount of orders for corrugated boxes is at the lowest since 2015.

What Declining Cardboard Box Sales Tell Us About the US Economy

"
  • US box shipments fell to the lowest second-quarter reading since 2015, with companies like International Paper Co. and Smurfit Westrock Plc reporting drops in box shipments.
  • The drop in packaging demand appears to be tied to President Donald Trump's mixed messaging on tariffs, with companies not stocking up on packaging while they wait to find out how the levies will affect costs and demand."

Some word circulating that de minimus shipments on non USPS carriers are about to be ended. Since there is not the customs infrastructure to process a billion and a half packages a year and it's not clear there ever will be carriers are to either reject shipments or basically guess at what the US government thinks people owe on a shipment. Needless to say if you need to order something from outside the county it may become quite difficult (or impossible ) and will cost you potentially a lot more.

I am having some stuff shipped from Europe to the states. It's going to cost me 83 euro. The guy shipping it told me 2 months ago it would have cost 50 euro since he ships them constantly to the USA and knows.

This morning I went to 7-11 and small slurpee has gone up 50% from the last time I bought one over a week ago.

Thanks Trump you dipshit.
