I assume you mean this article? It does a lot better job than the other article first presented as linking tariff's and job loses. I always try to read the article and not just the headline.

Yes that was the headline I posted in this thread. Also never implied it's about the headline and not the article however it was so succinct that it just really put this discussion into context.

Do you now believe there is a connection between the tariffs and the obvious impact on Amazon sales since a huge chunk of their products come from China, and thus their shipping needs, which will affect their shipping partners including UPS here.

I would consider it a connection that UPS made a strategic decision earlier this year to pull back from Amazon deliveries because they did see a downturn in Amazon deliveries because of Tariffs by the Orange Monkey. 🙂

I love how like six months ago when the stock market was at new highs Trump took credit for it despite Biden still being president. Now that Trump's tanked the economy he's claiming the stock market is Biden's fault.

So to recap:
Biden president + stock market good = Trump did it.
Trump president + stock market bad = Biden did it.

Amazing how the guy who they claim was a dementia addled puppet is still controlling the US economy four months after being out of office.

Looks like a number of DJI drone products have gotten big price hikes already and people are pissed. They all expect more as domestic stock goes away.

I wanted to build a sim racing setup, I was looking at a wheel and base that would have been $1600. It went up thanks to Trump, and after the tariffs it would be about $2400 for the same shit. A MAGA used cult logic to respond with "the company just wants to rip you off now because of the tariffs" I never knew not wanting to lose money was a bad thing in business. The MAGAs think these companies are trying to take advantage and increase the prices far more than they need to. But oddly, they also all seem to be against places like Amazon listing how much the tariffs are on each item. If tariffs are a beautiful thing and will be good for the country, why wouldn't you want them listed for all to see? I'm curious how $1600 worth of shit can jump $800.

If I'm to believe the press release Fanatec put out (the sim racing company) they didn't want to increase prices, but due to tariffs they had no choice. And they increased it so their prices would match their profits pre-tariffs and not to make more money. That's a huge jump to keep the profits in line with what they were. And apparently, this is what's gonna make America great again. A few other idiot MAGAs replied to my comment saying I should buy American here. Welp, there's no American company that makes sim racing gear here except 1 bespoke place I found, and they charge like $5k.

Trump is looking to do in Big Bird and Daniel Tiger now. Besides that ridiculous headline, PBS, in my opinion, easily has the best content on television, and has for decades. Science, nature, history, and educational programs are literally what it does. Documentaries like Ken Burns " The Vietnam War" or "Cancer: The Emperor of all Maladies" , the science series NOVA, the history series "Secrets of the Dead", and the nature series "Nature", are the best programs being produced on the planet right now, in my humble opinion-- and they are free for everyone who has a TV with a decent antenna. The ignorance of this administration is un-fucking-believable.

"Hey - lets kill funding to literally the most educational and high quality broadcasted content available!".
