As a Canadian, I just thought to look something up, as Trump dismisses our ability to resist his Mafia style trade war.

He also assumes China will have to come begging because so much of it's exports go to the USA.

17% of USA's exports go to Canada. It's the #1 country the USA exports to (tied with Mexico - for another 17%)

15% of China's exports go to the USA, which is the # 1 country China exports to.

Point being Canada has just as much ability to harm the US economy with tariffs, as the USA does to Harm China, if not more.

I also noticed that between Canada, Mexico and China, we collectively account for 41% of Total US exports.

I think these three should get together behind the scenes and have a united front...

Also, How fucking stupid is it to attack your two best trading partners collectively representing 34% of your exports, especially if you decide to attack China and are left with no allies and might even push your best trading partners into allying with China?

The EPIC stupidity of Trump.

One of the reasons Trump admires Hitler so much (this is true--he's repeatedly claimed to admire Hitler's good brain thinking) is that Hitler brilliantly opened up an additional front in the war that he never had to do. Good thinking, that.

Yes Trump, let's Hitler some more.

Don't forget the EU.

There are much lesser EU tourists coming here. And EU citizens are boycotting American goods too.

Actually Asian countries aren't happy with the tariffs too.

The only country that seems to be positive to Trump is weirdly India.

It looks like India is trying appeasement, to cut a deal.

Well ofcourse.. amount of money sent in remittances from Indian workers in the US > their total exports to the USA most likely.

Would not be surprised if that's actually true of a few countries actually. Philippines comes to mind. That's another country seeming looking for a deal.

Heh... according to the White House, Amazon showing on their receipts how much of the costs come from tariffs is a hostile and political act. Which is interesting since other countries are paying for the tariffs and they are making everyone rich. Why wouldn't they want people to see how rich they are getting?

Wait.... you don't think they..... lied about it do you? Nah that can't be it...

All retailers are going to end up breaking out the Trump Tax because they aren't going to take the anger from consumers for something he did.

And they accuse Amazon of doing this because "a Chinese propaganda arm".
Amazon is a Chinese PsyOp!

Central Planning Update:
Amazon bows to the Emperor, agrees to be complicit and hide the cost of the Emperor's tax on the American people.

Amazon says displaying tariff cost ‘not going to happen’ after White House blowback

California should pass a law that import fees and taxes should be disclosed to all consumers. Just like the disclosure laws on ALL OTHER TAXES.
Being the largest state customer of online goods, that would force the change on most if not all websites.
