Canada isn't really easy to invade.. how do you hold territory where the average temperature is -50F for 8 months of the year? FFS it routinely snows in August in Calgary!

I guess you could start copying the Fake Higher Education Visa scam.. but even then the people would have to be able to convince visa officers they legit want access to an education and have assets to pay for it.

MAGA isn't exactly known for that!

He is no businessman if he doesn’t appreciate that businesses hate all this disruption. He has no clue how many moving parts there are in an economy.

They think that living like Russians will win, and using the nukes will win, they forget that reasonable people will hold most of the nukes and with few, could be stopped before causing any destruction.

- I think a fascinating understated element of the whole Signals fuck-up is that the whole "shit on Europe" thing isn't some sort of 5d Chess negotiating tactic.

These people legitimately have beef with the countries they publicly have beef with. There is no "hidden agenda", WYSIWYG.

A forgotten part of history is that General De Gaulle never truly trusted America because America didn't help France in 1940 and it had to put up with 4 years of Nazi occupation.

Infact he didn't want to ever blindly trust Americans and that's why the French have their own defensive nuclear plans, not one in cooperation with the US.

He was so opposed to depending on America that he even had France leave NATO at one point and everyone thought he was being unreasonable.. but he was right.

All the others in NATO at that time could do was bite their lip and just wait for De Gaulle to die as he was an old man.

It may come down to others in NATO having to do the same thing.. bite their lip.. don't burn bridges and just wait for MAGA to die.. which may happen with Trump's death and the death of the American economy.

If you think you can fall back to the far reaches....
All food, water, and energy supplies will be hunted down and targeted.

A land of abundant warmth, energy, and 10x the population is going to make short work of that.
You want to fight this war, you do it on US soil with Mexicans and others from beyond the border.

She states the obvious fact that Canada’s vast territory would be impossible to cover and control, no matter how many troops the U.S. sent.

Canadian Forces loyalists would likely mobilize civilian recruits into guerrilla groups “that could strike, retreat into the wilderness and blend back into the local communities that support them.”
