And just a few days after firing the last US Attorney, Comey has been indicted by the Grand Jury:

You keep thinking the rule of law is still functioning. It isn't. This is a Trump dictatorship.

Some resistance remains, but every day there is less.

More money has been spent in the DOJ trying to protect a failed president then any other time in history. Our tax payer dollars at work. Trumps own words will assure the case dismissed on malicious prosecution.

Comey handed the election to Donald in 2016.He's a republican who helped trump win in 2016. But Comey later refused to swear personal loyalty to Donald. So here we are. Oh .. and Comey is 6' 8". that alone intimidates the shinned skin buffoon.

ANd ...What false premise are they talking about? The Senate Intelligence Committee found that Manafort had given a known Russian operative campaign information. Trump's campaign colluded with Russia and there were the arrests and guilty verdicts against many of Trump's inner circle. Muller couldn't directly link there crimes directly to Trump with absolute certainty. This is what happens when a serial criminal has immunity given by the SCOTUS. I can see the Prosecution will call for suppression on grounds of National Security. Then argue that the judge cannot review the evidence because he/she does not have sufficient security clearance. Then refuse to give him that clearance. Trump said " Bondi needs to do more to prosecute" Comey. This says she's got nothing, only taking orders.....that in itself is a crime.

It is estimated that Trump, through his business career, has been involved in close to 3500 to 4000 lawsuits. He has made a career in being litigious and has learned how to play the game. This attempt by Trump to get DOJ to after Comey is not so much about winning, but to aggravate Comey's life. Michael Cohen said Trump used to sue people just to get his revenge and make them suffer through it. Trump is a sorry, vindictive man who has been bullying people most of his life. In 2022, Comey and McCabe had a sudden IRS audit that was also linked to Trump. This is who he is, and he goes to any lengths to get his revenge.

Hopefully, if nothing else will get the case thrown out. Donny is telling the world that Comey is a "bad, sick person". So Comey's lawyer goes to the judge and petitions the judge to declare a mistrial. That's it. Trump can't shut his pie hole. The facts of the case are now irrelevant.

With Trumps distractions ... All roads lead to Epstein

This is something I don't actually mind because I actually drive and there's a shit ton of bad truck drivers.

Getting them off the road would be good theoretically
Collapse of logistics is the physical and literal collapse of a nation. Empty store shelves would mean we stop using words. And we start looting and shooting. Each other.
Good in theory, I wager not.

There are ways to phase things out and restructure in a deliberate and orderly manner. Tyranny just wants to watch the world burn.

I think we might have to burn it down in order to remake it because saving the current one and making it go back to the way things were is unrealistic.

The 50 states working together is now a thing of the past.. we need to let it die!

Pakistan is getting favorable treatment on tariffs as they have been willing to cut deals with Trump that would allow US oil companies to develop Pakistan’s vast untapped oil reserves. Trump is giddy over these deals and the Pakistani government is also quite pleased with the outcome. It should be noted that Pakistan doesn’t have any vast untapped oil reserves.

The biggest terrorist sponsor and trainer in the world - a key ally on the war in terror.. LOL

Pakistan's oil fields are already developed and Pakistan still imports oil.

Even better, most of the reserves they have untapped are in a region that is currently in the middle of a separatist insurgency.

Officials did not specify where the exploration would take place, but most of Pakistan’s reserves are believed to be in the insurgency-hit southwestern province of Balochistan, where separatists say the province’s natural resources are being exploited by the central government in Islamabad.

Balochistan has long been the center of violence mostly blamed on groups including the outlawed Balochistan Liberation Army, or BLA, which the U.S. designated a terrorist organization in 2019.

Separatists in Balochistan have opposed the extraction of resources by Pakistani and foreign firms and have targeted Pakistani security forces and Chinese nationals working on multibillion-dollar projects related to the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor.

Leave it to Trump to get us into another ME shooting war in a place with no meaningful amount of oil to begin with.

Pakistan isn't in the Middle East.

More like leave it to Trump to make a "deal" that actually doesn't get us anything of value because he's a moron.

Yes. This is how he ended up tariffing an uninhabited island full of penguins.

He's a stone cold idiot.

He's far from the exception.. the country is the problem.. not him.

You want a leader with common sense.. start creating a voting population that values common sense first!

Like I was saying.. guns should be licensed if person can prove they'll be responsible. Same for driving. Well maybe voting should be similarly limited!

Prime example: China's populism created Mao the idiot.. but now their leaders actually make intelligent/ smart choices by restricting democracy and it works!

Total democracy is just way too emotional with uneducated idiots and ruled by frauds.. we need a better system.

I always liked HL Mencken, and his point of view, but he thought people were too stupid for democracy, and leaders should be elected by the elite. I thought "I dunno 'bout that shit...". I've been coming around to his point of view. What stops the machine every time is who is the elite? I think there are elite that could do the job, but then you're back to voting for them, with all the problems that entails. It's what we have now with more steps :^S

Ehhhh. Authoritarian countries do plenty of incredibly dumb shit all the time.

No arguing that but if you appoint a compassionate scientific genius high IQ council with a mandate of providing a better life and healthcare for the country.. might have different results.

Yes I know it's a pipe dream!

But pisses me off we just accept blanket democracy with idiots and frauds and bitches of billionaires incharge.

We're more like China than we realize.. especially with the Trump administration but they're not incompetent regarding tariffs/ military interventions and stuff.

One thing I think we massively underestimate is.. how capitalism really adores fascism.

Because it means more exploitation of a working class, shitting on them, taking away their rights and basically using them to get richer at the top end.

Saw a post on reddit that opened my eyes to this about why foreign countries are eager to invest in America now under Trump:

I disagree with you on that.. because one thing we can learn from India where democracy is encouraged and like 750 million people vote.. is that more people voting lead to the same exact outcome..

The stupid people vote for stupid leaders!

Trump lost the PV in 2016 by almost three million votes. It's not really open for debate that absent the electoral college he would not have won.

Yes which is why I want to "break the system" and replace the old experiment with a new one!

If someone says that'll cause too much pain.. we're already in too much pain..

Education is the key. It is the great equalizer and is a better metric than wealth/power.

I quit a forum this year. When there's one dumb motherfucker, people point and say "There's a dumb motherfucker over there". When there's more than one, people point and say "There's dumb motherfuckers over there", and I don't want to be associated with dumb motherfuckers.

Point is, they all had equal enough access to education, and we aren't talking about quantum physics or anything. This shit is basic observation and logic. I'm not entirely sure where the problem is.

The ego is a powerful thing. Humans are illogical and emotional creatures, they have not evolved to seek facts or the truth, they evolved to be part of tribes/groups which means they naturally try to maintain their societal standing where they fit in. People can convince themselves of anything if it helps them avoid uncomfortable truths or will negatively impact how they are viewed in their tribe/group/society. Add religion to that and you have people who have been raised to not ask questions and who idolize and fear imaginary entities.

The question isn’t how do people ignore reality and logic, it’s how have we made it this far and advanced this far while having these basic traits?

There are more ways to get 'more democracy' than just sheer population. You could force the existing population to vote and then enforce it.

When your voter turnout gets up above 90% then you have 'more democracy'.

This is what we have in Australia. And it seems that when everyone has to vote rather than the passionate rusted on voters at either end of the political spectrum, politics seems to get focused on centrist policies.

The other thing you guys needs to fix is the rampant gerrymandering that happens in both blue and red states.

I remember this from back in the early 90's living/working at a backpacker's hostel in Edinburgh, Scotland. I was on the front desk one morning, and I noticed a lot of the Australians staying there leaving for a bit and coming back, sometimes in groups of three or more. I asked what was up and one told me they were all going to the local consulate to vote. As an American I was fairly gob smacked, why would you bother when you're living 1/2 way around the world, especially when everyone was in their mid 20's. He said they had to and there was a fine if they didn't. But he also said the fine was so low it was meaningless, that they voted because that's what everyone always does.
