Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth shared detailed information about forthcoming strikes in Yemen on March 15 in a private Signal group chat that included his wife, brother and personal lawyer, according to four people with knowledge of the chat.

Some of those people said that the information Mr. Hegseth shared on the Signal chat included the flight schedules for the F/A-18 Hornets targeting the Houthis in Yemen — essentially the same attack plans that he shared on a separate Signal chat the same day that mistakenly included the editor of The Atlantic.

Again, it amazes me that in murrica the scandal is the leak of information about plans for their acts of genocide, and not the acts of genocide they're engaging.

I don't know if the Houthis are the bad guys or are just misunderstood but if bombing them means ships can sail through the Suez Canal I'm all for it. The spice must flow.

Makes me think... what if during this issue of disarray, Iran manages to pull a succesful attack in US base located in the island in that region?

Also, it will hurt somehow Russia's advances since Putin depends in Trump now? And what if China decides to screw Russia if they sees Russia and US getting too near and wanting India to be with them to pressure China?

The bigger question that is being lost: what is the chain of command? There doesn't seem to be any traceable link to the President actually ordering any attacks whatsoever.

Remember when people were claiming that Biden was an empty suit or people were just propping him up? The Trump administration is just various factions vying for Daddy's attention, and who is the favorite changes by the hour, with each faction taking unilateral action to do whatever...

In fact on the Signal chat with Hegseth and JD Vance there was talk of maybe not going through with it. How does that happen if POTUS already gave the order

Exactly. You have people claiming to speak on behalf of the president with no proof the president has issued any sort of authentic order. Using an unsecured platform where a potentially malicious actor can masquerade as someone else...
