Hey @pcgeek11 here’s Fox News’ chief correspondent on the matter

I guess my question to you would be what evidence do you require to admit they are lying?

Anything he doesn't like is a lie, fake, and manufactured by Ukrainian Dem Bio Labs!

So....
Trump regime complains that Ukraine is undeserving of US assistance in fighting US's primary foe, Russia (aka the country that served as the justification for our entire military complex, the country that has undermined US interest and government).
Trump regime complains that Europe is undeserving of US cooperation and military power (despite US dragging them in to US caused conflicts and causing all sorts of issues due the United States piss poor foreign policy in the middle east)
Trump regime complains about everyone gets a free ride from the United States
Trump regime plans "messaging action" against a faction in a civil war, slated to occur ahead of Israel ripping up a ceasefire agreement and resuming military action against Gaza with the goal of supporting Israel strikes by reducing risks of Houthi response. This is after expediting arms shipments to Israel. Note, this is mostly under the foreign military financing where the US provided loans and grants for the purpose of purchasing US weaponry. We don't ask for thanks nor do we ask for anything in return. Don't even as

There are two types of U.S. arms sales.

  • Foreign Military Sales (FMS): The U.S. government serves as the intermediary, procuring arms and then selling them to a foreign buyer. DOD will often provide technical expertise and support.
  • Direct Commercial Sales (DCS): Registered private firms in the U.S. sell directly to the foreign buyer. Sellers are required to secure an export license from the State Department.
Israel is one of the only countries permitted to use FMF to buy weapons through the DCS process, rather than solely through FMS.

Unlike other countries, Israel receives its FMF in a lump sum within 30 days of the funds being appropriated, rather than on a monthly basis. The funds are held in a U.S. bank account, which generates interest benefiting the Government of Israel.

By law we are required to maintain Israeli's military supremacy.

Summary,
Bag o dicks attacked Houthis not to protect shipping. They attacked to stifle the missile attacks on Israel with the expectation that Israel violation of the ceasefire and resuming razing Gaza strip would result in a Houthi response.
Also, Trump regime is violating all sorts of laws regarding classified info. Fortunately, waltz forgot his Facebook password otherwise the chat would have been on Facebook.

Since Israel is planning to take over Gaza and make some "decisions" on the Palestinians that are going to make for some fascinating history books 100 years from now (won't get into the long game with West Bank) US is now staging for an attack on Iran.
Also cancel visits to Lebanon.

Something that's not really being mentioned, but if you think this was the only inappropriate Signal chat going on I've got some beachfront property in KS to sell you.

The odds of it being a singular instance are lower than me finding out I've just won the largest powerball jackpot in history while I'm playing naked twister with Natalie Portman and Jessica Alba.

Hegseth alludes to other chats in the leaked transcript but yes I would bet every cent I own there are others, probably a lot of others.

The goal is to avoid public records laws.

I haven't read the transcript...

I will say he is telling the truth about being included in the message. I also agree that it is fucked up. It was also obvious that everybody was in cover your ass mode.

As I understood from what I've heard that Signal was an accepted method of encrypted communications and has also been used in past administrations. They need to NOT use this as a communication method in the future. I am glad that nothing bad happened to the mission or its participants.

Giant Fuck Up for many reasons.
Past administrations? Which past administrations? The past Trump administration? lol

- Every intel agency on earth is now trying to skullfuck Signal's integrity/security at this point. We're talking both eye sockets, nostrils, and ear canals here.

If they weren't before, they sure are now.

Luckily Tariff Man says that his cabinet "probably" won't be using Signals again. Or maybe they will. Or who knows when is it golf o'clock?

Last night I did ponder whether this could have been an intentional bit of political theater, given they know there's no real repercussions for anyone other than maybe some expendables. Given the nature of Trump's entire professional wrestling heel demeanor, as he doesn't take any part of his role as President seriously, it would be fitting.

Plus it diverted attention from the heinous EOs he signed this week.

I mean Trump was literally caught with reams of stolen top secret documents in his bathroom next to a fucking photo copier and they were like 'hard to say who is right here, let's let the courts play it out'.
Watching this was a mix of painful and funny (as the Foxsplaining segments always are)
"But Biden's garage!"

This you bro?

So was the reporter lying? Or do you still not believe “either side” in its entirety?

My comment was in the claim that was made by APU_Fusion that I said:

"It is the reporters fault he was included in a classified briefing on a platform that was not allowed to be used on private phones and he reported it?"

Which I did not say or imply that he was lying. This was before the transcript was reported.

What I did say as you quoted:

I seriously don't believe either side in its entirety, I think the facts will fall somewhere in the middle.

I do hope that they investigate this completely and find out what the actual facts are. I do think they should be able to get a transcript of the discussion and if blame is to be found there should also be appropriate accountability of any party(s) that bear blame.

Keep in mind that the transcripts had not been made public at the time. I was waiting on the actual facts as this reported could have inflated the facts for a juicy story. I don't see that is calling him a lier as all reporters do this to some extent.

I also never said this.

What I said was I Don't know.
What you said was

The 2 sides are the reporter and the Trump team.

I'll ask you now, does the reporter have any blame in Signalgate and do you believe his story?

Smh

With all of the data breaches in the last decade I'd bet they could find the same information about all of us or at a minimum most of us.

I agree that Hegsheth was indeed contorting the facts to reduce culpability. Pete should be held accountable. The actual results of the accountability isn't my call.

Go back and read....
You never confirmed if the reporter bears any responsibility for Signalgate. Because it would confirm your rush to infer the media was partly to blame vs this incompetent administration. Remember they were warned before the chat not to use Signal, but they did it anyway.

Your M.O. has never and will never change.

I know exactly what I said.

The two sides are the reporter and the Secretary of Defense.

No, the reporter doesn't have any blame as far as I can tell.
