I actually like the flat paint on some cars. Keeping them clean is another story...:)

Just got a Saturn Sky and am wondering how it'd look murdered out. I'd consider doing it but I can't even fine a single pic of one. Would be too much $$$ for something that potentially could look bad. Only seen it on a few cars where it looks sick to me, I'm 50/50 on how I think it would look on mine.

I saw a big, dumb truck that looked like it was completely coated in that rough spray-on bed liner stuff. I just had to laugh at that.

Getting rid of the chrome can look okay.

But I wouldn't strongly discourage you from 'murdering out' your car. They can look decent when they're all polished up an immaculate, but I find that they're ultimately boring and get dirtier faster than gloss black car.

Try some vinyl wrap over the chrome parts first, but don't go tinting your light housings or painting your wheels.

I have a Silver one, I absolutely cannot stand shiny black cars. If I do end up doing this, I'll definitely vinyl the chrome and put gunmetal black rims on it.

I actually have a black car and I love having silver wheels and a bit of decorative chrome:

There are black aftermarket grill inserts and fender vents available for my M3, but to me a little chrome enhances the look of a black car (though I have replaced the amber reflectors on the front bumper with black-painted ones). I really dislike fully "murdered out cars," in pretty much every instance.
