The Town (2010) deserves its own thread.

I thought it was great and, in the era of 10 Best Picture nominees, deserved a nomination. It's interesting to me that Ben Affleck has been such a consistently great director (Gone Baby Gone was an even better film, based on a good but not exceptional Dennis Lehane novel - the movie was better), since he has always struck me as a bit of a lightweight.

I thought the movie was bad and extremely predictable. This movie had promise but it failed miserably executing it. I would give it a 5/10 IF that.

I forgot what 2010 was all about.

The top 3 most critics agree are The Social Network, Black Swan, and King's Speech. I agree with these 3. I'm glad that garbage Inception is nowhere near there.

The Town was GREAT, but sort of lacks that particular epic feel these 3 have.

Those other 3 were good too. But the The Town I thought excelled in the acting part. Its an extremely well acted movie. Black swan I think is way over-hyped. It was decent, but I didn't think it excelled in anything.
