tattoos.

Sigh.

That shit need to be left to the very important times. Wars. Decades measured love. Etc

Not a selling point or a fashion statement.

Matthew McConaughey for Reign of Fire

That's actually the first thing I thought of before clicking the link. His character was just overall badass incarnate.

huh?

Most of the glamorized ones in those lists are all linked to stories. In that the character is supposed to have them because of things that happened or are important in the character's life.

Which is exactly what tattoos are best for, which is what I think you were getting at.

I love tattoos, and after getting one, I want more. Problem is, the first one kind of took awhile to figure out what I wanted. And additionally, it's personal but at the same time, kind of a readily-available artwork.
I have a lot of ideas of what themes I'd like to have inked on me, but no idea as of yet exactly what type of design I'd want, or wear.

as the lists that highlighted that character/movie have stated as well... that dude seriously needs to do more serious movies like Reign of Fire. I don't get it, he did really well with that character.

These shitty romance comedies are just terribly shitty.

List kinda sucks.

No mention of:

Clooney - Dusk Til Dawn
Reeves - Constantine
Kilmer - Felon
Brothers - Boondock Saints
Jolie - Wanted
Snipes - Blade

And the only fashion statement they are making is "LOOK AT ME EVERYBODY! I'm a great big stupid tool!"

Folks have no idea how not awesome they really are with those tattoos. But I guess if it makes them feel better its all good.

I hate Tattoos as well. For a large part, they are a huge sexual turnoff as well.

I totally get it now. An art form that's been around for thousands of years only exists because of idiots.

Ralph Fiennes in Red Dragon is definitely the most awesome one...at least as far as the reveal in the movie goes.

I have never seen Memento but after reading that little bit about it, I want to see it now. I have seen most of those films.
