Most that can afford the $1500 for Photoshop, wouldn't have the concerns you posted about.

Isn't that only the price for the entire CS6 suite? Photoshop itself is only a few hundred iirc, not to mention there are open source variants that people just refer to as Photoshop, as well as multiple discounts for people just looking for the core Photoshop program.

we talking about you or your 'friend'

I licensed PhotoShop 6.0, today I really love PSE. Even when I had CS3 in the office.

Go for what? xD

I see that you have the TZ77A, is it easy to overclock?

Go for the ASRock B75M or something, wasn't that what you were asking in the first place?

And the TZ77A is easy enough to overclock, I had to do a BIOS update though since changes to the multiplier wouldn't hold for some reason with my 3570K. After the update though, no issues.

The Z75, it just doesnt have ssd caching, which i could care less about.

Isn't SSD caching useful when you're dealing with ~60 GB drives or smaller, since it frees up a few gigs from not having the entire OS installed to it?

Im going to use the 64Gb for windows only so its fine.
the SSD caching is using the SSD as a cache drive for an HDD, not useful to me

Buy a prepaid Visa card with cash and leave the computer at your friend's house? :whiste:

Lol. Won't happen. None of my friends live close by

What I don't get is that I look up stuff and play around since I don't have a fast enough computer to get good work done. Or it takes a very long time. I'll have one window of word and another of Firefox. I'll be in Facebook waiting for word to load up. My hard drive was 70% defragmented when I checked yesterday.

Being 16ish, how do none of your friends live close by?

Being how fragmented your HDD is I'd upgrade to Win 7 right away. That will probably solve a lot of issues.

Don't get this answer.

My high school required me being picked up at 6am to get there by 9.

Damn you got to start at 9? I had to get picked up at 5:30AM to make it by 8:00. (also a magnet program, boy do those suck now)

Also I don't get why you can't spend any of your money on this?
When I tried sneaking in an upgrade past my parents I had the parts shipped somewhere else (kind neighbor, friend, whatever works for you) then just swapped all the internals in my system 1 day when they were out. Not really suggesting this kind of behavior but chances are if you don't swap the case, your parents won't know that you've upgraded your system.

I may be forgetting the start times. It was a good 2-3 hours total.

We didn't have our own high school at the time (Wellington, Florida, upper middle class/upper class area).

I got bused only 9-10 miles away.

I agree, like honor students, magnet programs are total BS for the most part.

What are they afraid of?

1) Porn
2) You learning new things on the internet
3) Using Google to correct your parents
