The opening is very pretty, but one reason why it's like that is because it is the biblical equivalent of "See spot. See spot run. Run spot, run."

Yes there are "dramatic" differences between the KJV and say the Living Bible. however, the Living Bible is considered a modern day, "meaning and intention" translation. Meaning its focus is to present a modern version of the MEANING and INTENT of the Bible and not a "direct" tranlsation. But it doesn't claim to be a direct translation, nor do people consider it thus.

I'm not talking about the Living Bible. It's something else, like New Kingdom or whatnot. All I know is that both it and the King James version claim to be accurate translations and both are very different.

Yes, the give three items, but it was not mentioned how many people were in the group.

Exactly. In all likely hood it was more than 3, but the Bible never says how many.

Ohhhh.... New Kingdom well that's TOTALLY different. That is a Jehovas Witness translation and would explain the major differences, considering they have MAJOR theological and doctrinal differences when compared to "mainstream" Christian doctrine.
