Since White Noise came out today, I was talking with my friends about it and they acted so spooked when I told them I was messing with some EVP program I found in www.aaevp.com. So, we were the car talking about topics of the paranormal and they told me about their friends' experiences with the Ouija board. IMO, I think it's shens but they believe in it.

Thoughts? Experiences?

All I know is if God is out there and he reads this, please let me have a decent day at work and also help me to find a better job in which I can be calm and collected as opposed to upset and angry for 8 hours and not to mention miserable. Well that is the American dream, isn't it? Work 8 hours a day at a job you hate. I think I should move to Bangledash.

I've played with a ouija board before. It was entertaining, the girls that were doing it with me were all freaked out and stuff. YMMV as far as accuracy of results, as this was 1996 and it told us Dole was going to win the election.

My sister has played with EVP's and i must say she has recorded some stuff that totally freaked me out.

one in particular she asked the question "is anybody here" in a totally silent room and when she listened to the tape there was a response that said "go away" I dunno what the hell caused that but NOBODY was there but her.

i had a friend who used to push the pointer around, so i always think someones moving it. there are better methods of divination though, most of them are pretty lame, if they teach you something or alter your perspective then they can be useful. Tarot for instance has enabled me to categorize nearly every experience and how they interrelate.

As far as contacting the dead, mmm im pretty sure that door is locked for a very good reason, the dead people would be giving us all the spoilers, like what happens after the tunnel of light and what the G man is like. most of the post-mortem communications i've read involve some spirit being like, dont worry about me, i'm chillin in a dream or something. kinda lame.

necromancy, conjuration, theurgy and thaumaturgy are much more interesting imo. near death website is cool too

I don't believen most supernatural/paranormal things. What gets me is the commonality of death experiences, those who were clinically dead for minutes or hours & later resuscitated / no brain activity. Regardless or religion (christianity, atheist, agnostic, muslim, etc.) the experiences are basically the same. Floating out of body, dark tunnel, seeing a being of light (christians will say christ, some jews say its an angel, other religions say its their god, others say just being of light, etc) whom you communicate with means telepathically (and in a language they've never heard of but completely understand). Also asks questions such as were you satisfied with your life, what are you proud of, etc. Life After Life Book

i think thats just a product of your brain easing the shock, fear, and pain of death.

What about the Out of Body experiences when people are flatlining but knew exactly went on. Guy who was dead from car crash before arriving to hospital but could explain everything to a tee (how he was removed from rubble, how many guys rescued, the bystanders watching & what they were wearing, etc.) Or in a hospital bed while flatlining out Amount of CC's given in shot, doctor saying two more tries when shocking, what the nurses were saying, etc.

If things like ouija boards really worked, users would be making themselves billions on stock markets and gambling.

start here.

flat line just means your heart stops beating. also, it doesnt take much for you to hear whats going on, and your brain to patch the scene together.

theyve done a study in hospitals where they have put a message above the lights that hang over the head of a hospital bed, for those patients that float around the room when having a nde. of those that have experienced the nde under said lights, no one has relayed the message.
