The Super Pi Mod Score Database

Would it be helpful if, after say, 14 more posts or so I make some sort of database of superpi mod scores with correlating system specs for reference purposes? LMK if it's worth the effort.

I cant seem to get superpi 1.5 to run on my system, I made sure there were no files other than the superpi program and help file in the folder. I run it and after the third step, I get the windows has encountered a problem issue. Any suggestions?

You can just reinstall it to a different directory. Reinstalling always works.

with 1.4 i get 1M=33.016s w/ rig in sig...let me go get 1.5....

edit - 1.5 i get 1M=36.140s...i will run again to verify

op - will you link to the exact version you want people to use

I did 1.1 not knowing, and got 17 seconds. with 1.5 mod, I got 17 and 1.2 seconds (or something like that)

My goal is to get 1M time under 14 secs @3.60GHz, with a stable memory configuration. So far, I'm down to 14.047 secs using 3:4 dividers.

for some reason i religiously get different results from 1.4 and 1.5. op, could you please link to the one you want everybody to use? if somebody is going to make a db it should be done with as many constants as possible.

also, do you want slow machines too? i have a centrino laptop and a xp2000 here also.

lmk what version and i will run it on those test too.

17.265 1M

Here is a question for you guys. How come when I run dual super PI one core will run faster than the other?

2 super PI folders each one's affinity set for 1 core. I start the super PI set for core 0, then start the one for core 1 asap. core 1 will actually overtake core 0. Why is this? This was on 4M. I will post screen shots if you want me to..

The best guess I can make is that one of those cores is running backround tasks and super pi at the same time while the other is not, or isn't running as many.

I thought about that also but when I checked the affinity for at least most of the processes(some would not let me check them) the were all set to both cpus. Unless the ones that would not let me check were assigned to one cpu.

33.281 for 1M on my T5600 laptop 🙁

I'll test the system in my sig after it's done Orthos. It can do 17s SuperPI but I haven't tested SuperPI Mod.

Alright. After Page 4 I think I should re-edit this thread and post a database of sorts. Please make sure you include your signature with all specs.

Thanks!
