The successor to the SGI 1600SW--the F220.

<< i saw a review on it somewhere - was suprisingly luke warm

i believe (from my overtaxed memory) it was $5000
>>

Ummm...it was just unveiled today at the NAB convention.

maybe i'm confusing it with the new apple 23"??
i am looking for a big LCD, and seem to recall rejecting the latest from SGI for some reason

is there something in between the 1600 and F220?

I'm sorry, but those monitors pale in comparison to thisone by SUN.

Seriously, this one is THE BEST. I has the equivalent viewable area of a 27inch CRT

beat that, chump

PS. Exccuse the "chump" remark, I am just eager to inform people about this thing

<< I believe the 1600SW has a .23dp. Then again the extra viewable space probably makes up for it. >>

The specifications listed on the PDF datasheet are sadly not that impressive. 🙁

Fine dot pitch of .294 mm for sharp image quality

No, this isn't the successor to the 1600sw. 🙁

🙁 Why couldn't they make a new LCD with the technology they used on the 1600sw?!?!?!? 🙁
