i'm still waiting for one of the foulmouthed idiots who claimed i was wrong, to provide a link to Kerry's medical records...

I'd be happy with the medical report of his first Purple Heart. I asked awhile back but no one seems to be able to find it.

Let's see, medical records ...

April 23, 2004

For Immediate Release
Washington, DC ?

Today the Kerry Campaign released a letter from Dr. Gerald J. Doyle, Kerry?s doctor for the past 18 years, summarizing 35 pages of Kerry?s personal copies of his military medical records.

When the U.S. Navy sent Kerry his official Naval records, his military medical records were not included. Kerry reconstituted the military medical records from his personal files.

Kerry made his official Naval records available on www.johnkerry.com earlier this week after receiving them from the Navy and scanning the files into the website.

The military medical record summary from Dr. Doyle is attached and can also be found at www.johnkerry.com/about/medical.html.

The direct address for Kerry?s Official Naval records is: http://www.johnkerry.com/about/military_records.html

The direct address for PFC 94?s After-Action Combat reports is: http://www.johnkerry.com/about/combat_reports.html

The direct address for the Command History of Coastal Division 11 ? 1969 is: http://www.johnkerry.com/about/command_history.html

His 1st purple heart was awarded for injuries substained on 2 December 1968. Reviewing his doctor's summary of Kerry's military medical records ...

?3 December 1968, U.S. Naval Support Facility Cam Rahn Bay RVN FPO. Shrapnel in left arm above elbow. Shrapnel removed and appl bacitracin dressing. Ret To Duty.?

Mr. Kerry sustained a shrapnel injury in his left arm above his elbow. He was treated at the Cam Ranh Bay US naval support facility where the shrapnel was removed and the wound was treated with a topical Bacitracin antibiotic dressing. He was returned to duty following his treatment.

I guess if that's not good enough, you can go sue the U.S. Navy for his full records as they were never sent to Kerry.

Thanks Dealmonkey, that doesn't seem to be on the page that conjur linked but I am glad you were able to find it. Of course it was written this year, but you already have an excuse for that I see.

Apparently the Prison scandle is drawing lower than expected ratings after 56 days straight of leading the headlines.

You're welcome, I guess. Frankly, I don't understand the point of asking about his medical records? I mean are you guys trying to dispute that Kerry deserved a purple heart for his injuries? Or is this just a concerted effort to divert from the topic at-hand? You know, the old ~but Clinton routine.

When a fellow soldier says you basically awarded yourself the purple heart and one of the hearts was from a scratch that was even from fighting. I think it opens up the possibility that it may not be earned.

Remember kerry was already a darling and getting a few undeserving purple hearts will get your tour ended early.

I guess him not releasing those records really makes those conspiracy theories grow dont they?

Go visit his offices, he's said before the full records he has are available there.

And, all of his injuries were from combat. Read the reports available on his website.

Yup, right there on the site.

I posted that link a couple of times before. heartsurgeon should work on doing a brain transplant on himself. Maybe that will cure his memory problems.

I'm probably just missing it. Can you point to the record of his first Purple Heart that shows the required treatment by a medical officer?

Thanks.

Wow, the thread is about Bush but somehow the Bush supporters have diverted the thread to Kerry's medical records. Now why and how did that happen?

I have to say, even if Kerry's wounds were really light, I don't see what the big deal is. If he adhered to the letter of the law (and no one claims otherwise) he had every right to cash in his ticket out of vietnam.

Bush on the other hand is a guy that might have gone awol which is illegal.

Legel vs. illegal. Big difference.

And besides this, Kerry had the cajones to go to vietnam while bush dodged vietnam.

I know why...

Bush doesn't have any medical records for his military service? Because Bush supporters are trying to divert attention away from Bush because they know hes a weakling in every respect?

Just a thought.

yup. conservatives make it sound like it musta been cowardice that allowed him to only be "scratched" by shrapenal. lol, like being close enough to be touched by shrapenal is really safe and dandy place to be:p the man served in a group of unarmored aluminum swift boats that suffered 75% casualty rates, they were sent ahead to flush out vc for f*ck sake. even worse when their own man might have been awol, hid himself from service on purpose, took another mans spot in the guard, and plays dress up in flight suits to play warrior when his @ss isnt personally on the line.

Nice try, cons, at diverting from the real issue, but some of us are actually keeping track.

Do you mean produce a link to his medical records? That is where that information would be had. However, as you no doubt would know, the officers signing the paper work and citation had this information as part of the award package. You may infer that he received wounds that justified the award. The severity of the wounds is obvious given he was still on active duty after sustaining them. Three times wounded is about par for where and how he served, I'd opine.

who the fsck cares? He went to Vietnam, enough said. That took enough balls to go out there in a rinky dink boat. It's laughable how the neocons can even compare Bush and Kerry, Bush is the biggest coward of a president we've ever had for a self-proclaimed "war president".
