The stock market

Crashes are always hard to predict exactly, but when they happen, its usually too late to do anything about it and people who get freaked out sell at the bottom. I don't know how much longer the market can sustain fuel prices so high, and just because its held up so far doesn't mean it always will.

The market has crashed for a lot less, and when it does there will be lots of bandwagon jumpers......so is this the time to sell?

Well, I'd wait at least 3 weeks on oil stuff. It's reached the highest ever around here and I'm sure it'll stay that way until the end of summer.

I've been out of the market for a couple of months, a good correction will be a great buying opportunity.

The toughest thing about taking advantage of a crash is having patience...either waiting for one, or not getting in too early when one happens.

I buy to hold for decades, mostly index mutual funds like VFINX, so a nice downturn is just a chance to buy more shares.

Not that that is too conservative for me, its just too boring. 😛😉

True, but it also requires close to zero effort.

More time to read books, watch DVDs, play games, and nef here 🙂
