I'm a bit confused about Ireland's woes, i remember that we were outsourcing a ton of tech jobs to them.

They are also part of "double Irish" tax evasion method for multinationals

Just letting folks realize how brutal the last two weeks have been. Long term.

I'm still itchy on getting more precious metals in hand, but part of me likes having it. The only reason I like silver is it's low denomination and you can break it up easily if needed. A coin worth 40 bucks is better than a a single coin worth 1660. Easier to barter with if needed. Damn I want some gold but I just can't stomach that much for just 10-20 coins.

SU (Suncor = oil) - Down 4%

I held onto RY (Royal Bank = Canadian) - Down only 1%.

Just made a killing in the last two days shorting silver (ZSL). For those who don't follow it, I bet that silver would fall in price, and ZSL pays double the movement in silver. Bought at $12.50, now nearly $15.00. Now the hard part. Put the money and profits into the now better priced stock market? Or wait until ZSL hits the $20 mark that it has been at several times in the last couple of months.

Silver is extremely volatile and I was warned of that before getting some. Best not to look at it day to day.

Silver is down well over $1/oz today alone. It was down yesterday as well. It went from nearly $42 to nearly $38 in just two days. This isn't a trade that I'd do for the long term. Swoop in, get a 20% gain, then leave. It is just so tempting to stay longer though.

I should have sold instead of posting. Still up though.
