This one didn't go into an oven - so I guess partial credit for Alton. His steak episode admittedly put me onto cast iron

Seriously. Even my phone takes
better pictures than that.

Anyway, as for the steak, looks a little too tartar for me. I like mine medium rare. But in most restaurants these days, you never know what you're gonna get, I get anywhere from raw to medium when I order that.
